A special Troop Tuesday shoutout to Girl Scout Cadette Troop 02811 of Forsyth County for performing a flag retirement ceremony this year on October 4. The girls retired two American flags by fire with a formal ceremony in their co-leaders’ backyard. The flags had been left in the girl’s meeting room at Ardmore Methodist Church.

Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont (GSCP2P), is one of the 111 councils from across the nation that delivers the Girl Scout program, serves nearly 12,000 girls in central and western North Carolina.
