gold award girl scout earns national scholarship
Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont is pleased to announce that Josie Manter of Forsyth County and a member of Girl Scout Troop 2326 has been selected as a National Gold Award Scholarship recipient from Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA).
The GSUSA Gold Award Scholarship recognizes one outstanding Gold Award Girl Scout from each of the 111 councils across the United States. Recipients are selected based on their project exemplifying the core components of the Girl Scout Gold Award and demonstrating extraordinary leadership that drives lasting change within the community and beyond. Manter was awarded a total of $10,000 in scholarships monies.

Get Outside with Our Summer Scavenger Hunt
Have some summer fun with us! We are kicking off an outdoor-inspired scavenger hunt to get girls outside and discovering the world around them! From creating outdoor art to identifying plants to taking photos, girls can check off items on the scavenger hunt list and, once complete, receive a prize for all their hard work.
The scavenger hunt is open now and runs through September 10. We hope you will participate and invite some friends to join you! You can find all the details on our blog.

The Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont website will soon be getting a facelift. The official launch of the new web platform is planned for Wednesday, July 19. Videos and information on how to navigate the new site will be coming soon!
