Join Us at Leaderee!
Registration for Leaderee 2023 is now open! All Girl Scout adults are invited to join us for a weekend of learning at Keyauwee Program Center, where you can get first aid, camping and tenting licenses, as well as take workshops just for fun! It’s a great opportunity to connect with our volunteers and discover everything our camp property has to offer. You can find the full brochure and registration details here.
year of the trail events
The Great Trails State Coalition has partnered with Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont to celebrate North Carolina’s vast and diverse collection of trails and encourages all of us to recognize the great outdoor resources we have in our state.
GSCP2P is hosting three N.C. Year of the Trail– Girl Scout Hikes this year. This is an opportunity to build awareness of local trails and the benefits they provide. We will pick up trash and debris along our hike to do our part in leaving a place better than we found it. More information about each of the dates below can be found in our Program Guide.
- Girl Scout Hike- Year of the Trail: Price Lake, Blowing Rock, NC (August)
- Girl Scout Hike- Year of the Trail: Murray’s Mill Loop, Catawba, NC (September)
- Girl Scout Hike- Year of the Trail: Haw River State Park, Browns Summit, NC (November)

horse lessons at circle c equestrian center
Did you know that Circle C Equestrian Center at Keyauwee Program Center offers weekly horse lessons September-December and February-May?
These lessons are great for Girl Scouts who are serious about developing their riding skills and learning more about horse care. Students are placed in small groups for each lesson with other riders who are similarly skilled. All riders must be at least seven years old.
