A Message from the CEO

A new Girl Scout year is right around the corner, and it’s time to jump right into another year of being amazing Girl Scouts together!

The Fall Product Program is kicking off today! Girls can begin setting up their online store fronts and selling a wide variety of candy, nuts and magazines to their friends and family. Girls can take orders through November 6, and it is such an easy way to earn start-up funds for the troop year! It also sets our girls up for success by putting important skills to practice at the very beginning of the year. Starting off strong is the only way to go!

We are also excited to dive right into a variety of big events at the council level. On October 7, we are hosting our Pisgah Forever Family Weekend at Camp Pisgah in Brevard. The day is going to be filled with camp activities for the whole family and end with a concert under the stars by band Royal South. We encourage families to make a whole weekend of it by staying on our beautiful camp property or a nearby hotel and take advantage of time in the outdoors, special programming and keepsake merchandise celebrating the magic that Camp Pisgah brings to our girls.

The weekend of October 27-29, troops are invited to our first council-wide Camp Out at Keyauwee Program Center in Sophia. It will be a time to meet new friends, explore outdoor activities through the lens of our game-theme for the weekend and celebrate our founder, Juliette Low.

Both of these events are going to be great opportunities to experience our camp properties, and we hope you will join us for one, or both!

As you can see, we are so excited to start off the Girl Scout year on a high note. We are so glad you are here!

FALL PRODUCT PROGRAM BEGINS TODAY

Our Fall Product Program is here! Designed to teach girls five key skills (goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics), while selling magazines and delicious nuts and candies, it’s an easy way to kick off the new troop year and raise funds for troop activities. There are also new products for your customers this year including Tervis tumblers and mini Bark Boxes!

You can click here to help your Girl Scout get started by creating her online account. Within her account, she can create her very own avatar and record her own personal message for her avatar to deliver to family and friends! Through participation, girls can earn cool rewards, including a personalized avatar patch. To earn the patch, all you have to do is send 20 e-mails to family and friends and sell four magazines and 20 candy/nut items. The Fall Product Program runs through November 6.

Set up your online account today so your customers have plenty of time to shop online and help you reach your goals!

Reserve Your Camporee Spot for Spring!

Service unit camporee requests are officially open for Spring 2024! Each service unit camporee coordinator can use the Spring 2024 Camporee Request Form to request preferred dates and camp property for January-May 2024.

Spring camporee requests must be completed by Friday, October 27. We will review all camporee requests and confirm event dates with the designated service unit representative by November 10. Once all camporee dates are finalized, troop camping reservations will open for all other weekends at our three camp properties.

Don’t forget we have a helpful Camporee Guide that you can find on our website to help answer some of your questions and help you plan a great event!

For additional questions about camporees or troop camping, please reach out to us at info@girlscoutsp2p.org or 800-672-2148.
