Today’s Tips 9.25.23

A Message from the CEO

One of our biggest goals here at the council is making sure that our volunteers, girls and families feel informed, engaged and empowered in their Girl Scout journey. Giving you the information you need is important to us. Here are a few ways resources to help you.

  • Website Guide: We recently launched a new council website, which can be found at www.girlscoutsp2p.org. This website is robust with information about the Girl Scout experience and most everything you need can be found right here. We’ve created a website navigation video to help you easily find some of our most used pages and get you familiar with where you can find important documents, forms and more.
  • Staff Directory: Also on our website is a full staff directory of our team here at GSCP2P. You can find a specific staff member by title or department and quickly reach them using our info@girlscoutsp2p.org address. We are currently working on a more detailed outline of team responsibilities and specialties so that you can better reach the person who can most accurately answer your questions. This resource will be coming soon.
  • gsEvents Registration Guide: With the launch of our new online calendar, many of our events are now using gsEvents for registration. Do you have questions about registering for an event? You can find a helpful tip sheet here, walking you through the whole process.
  • Social Media: Do you follow us on social media? Our FacebookInstagram and even TikTok pages are great ways to learn about upcoming events, see our girls in action and learn about community partner programs and more. We also have a blog that is consistently updated with new information.
  • Current Hours & Contact Information: Our current council shop and service center hours are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Staff are also available by appointment and our Customer Care Team is available Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. to answer any questions you may have. General questions or concerns can also be directed to info@girlscoutsp2p.org or by calling 800-672-2148.

We hope these quick links help you stay in the know of what is happening in our council and beyond!

Annual Good Turn Service Project Begins October 1

Every October, Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont and Goodwill Industries partner together to kick off the annual Good Turn for Goodwill service project. This service project teaches girls about Goodwill’s employment and training programs and how the donations they give to the organization help to support these efforts.

Girls can collect gently used clothing and household items, as well as a variety of electronics, and donate them to their local Goodwill facility through December 31. All girls who participate receive a Good Turn for Goodwill patch!

The patch design contest is also running now, with design ideas for the 2023 patch due by October 31. Find all the details on our blog.

#HATNOTHATE Patch Designs Due

Are you planning to submit a design for our #HATNOTHATE patch program? Entries for the design contest are due no later than October 1. You can find details on our blog.

We are also kicking off our new partnership with #HATNOTHATE during our October 7 Stitch for Kindness Maker Event in Gastonia. This event is for Juniors and older, and it’s not too late to join us!
