Last Day to Register for the Council-Wide Camp Out

The weekend of October 27-29, troops from across the council will gather together at Keyauwee Program Center for our first council-wide campout. Today, October 2, is the last day to register to be a part of the fun! Join us for some outdoor adventures and experience camp with new friends as we celebrate Juliette Gordon Low’s birthday.

GSCP2P Delegate Process

Your voice matters! The GSCP2P bylaws support a delegate-based governance system and, each year, each service unit elects a specific number of Delegates and Alternates to represent their service unit throughout the year and at the April 13, 2024 Annual Meeting.

Delegates must be a registered girl or adult member aged 14 and above. Delegates are entitled to vote in the election of members of the Board of Directors yearly and National Council Delegates every three years. If you are interested in learning more about the Delegate Process and being considered by your service unit to fill the role of Delegate or Alternate, please read and submit the interest indicator form linked here.

Girl Scouts Mini Bark Boxes – Current Inventory Limited

We have some updates to share regarding the BARK+ Girl Scouts Mini Box, a popular new addition to our Fall Product Program this year.

Girl Scout Mini Bark Boxes have been flying off the virtual shelves this season, outperforming all expectations. Current inventory is tight, and we anticipate supplies will be exhausted very soon. However, BARK will be conducting a secondary production run due to their overwhelming popularity, which will be available to ship to consumers in February 2024.

As the M2 Media platform processes payments upfront, sales may continue without interruption and the February shipment of this product will not delay a troop from concluding its Fall Product Program as planned.

M2 Media will be updated to include transparent language that explains to consumers at the point of purchase that Girl Scout Mini Boxes will not ship until February 2024, so they can self-determine if they would like to proceed with their purchase.

For Customer Service and questions, contact M2 Media by phone at 1-800-372-8520 or by submitting a ticket (e-mail) to support@gsnutsandmags.com

Show Us the Camp Pisgah Magic

As many of our girls, volunteers and families head out to Camp Pisgah this upcoming week, we hope you’ll share your photos of the weekend and the many activities going on. Over the next several weeks, we will be posting our favorite #CampPisgahMagic moments on our social pages.

Not going to the Pisgah Forever weekend, but have old photos and memories of the camp property to share? We want those too! Include #CampPisgahMagic in your social post and your photo could be featured in council promotions. Find more information and additional Camp Pisgah initiatives on our blog.

October Patch of the Month

Every year, starting in the month of October, GSCP2P and Goodwill Industries partner together in the Good Turn for Goodwill service project. From October 1 through December 31, girls and troops can collect gently used clothing, household items and certain electronics and donate them to their nearest Goodwill facility. The program teaches girls how their donations contribute to the success of Goodwill’s other programs.

We are currently looking for a new patch design for the 2023 Good Turn for Goodwill patch that girls earn when participating in the service project. Details about how girls can submit a design for the contest can be found on our blog. The submission deadline is October 31.
