Mark Your Calendars for our Total Eclipse of Brevard Event
Join us for an out-of-this-world event at Camp Pisgah April 5-7 as we celebrate the 2024 total solar eclipse. We are partnering with Pisgah Astronomical Research Institute (PARI), a former NASA facility in Brevard that is now an active center for research and education, to bring girls a weekend of space science in new and exciting ways. The best part? Retired NASA astronaut, Dottie Metcalf-Lindenburger, will be traveling to Brevard from Seattle for a live Q&A session! Learn all about space from someone who’s been there!
The event is open to all Girl Scouts and will include breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday. Girl Scout troops will stay at Camp Pisgah and be shuttled to PARI on Saturday for activities.
Girl Scouts who cannot attend the whole weekend also have the option to join us for just the Q&A with Dottie at PARI and dinner on Saturday or even attend the Q&A virtually. Full details can be found on our online calendar.
Meeting an astronaut, stargazing at camp, a full day of STEM activities, songs around the campfire- the weekend is going to be action-packed!
Register for Summer Camp Now
We may be in the middle of winter now but, before we know it, summer will be here! Are you ready to make plans? Summer camp registration is open, and the Early Bird discount for weeklong, overnight programs runs through January 31.
Now is the time to find your favorite session and register! There are so many exciting programs planned- explore the galaxy, get artistic, discover the world of animals or even choose your own adventure all while participating in traditional camp activities. There are even mini-sessions for girls who aren’t quite ready to spend a whole week at camp. You can find all the summer program offerings here.
