GSCP2P Living History Initiative
Girl Scouts has an inherent richness in its 112-year history, and the Archives Committee at GSCP2P is hard at work consolidating and cataloging our extensive collection of Girl Scout memorabilia. This work will help us celebrate our history and use it to propel the organization into the future in an engaging, relevant way.
The GSCP2P Living History initiative is a concept using our collection of artifacts and stories to bring the history of Girl Scouts to life. We are currently working on creating a Living History display in each service center where girls are able to connect with the past in fun and interactive ways. These displays will change quarterly so there is always something new and fun to learn! Be on the lookout soon for these displays to begin to take shape.
You can also join us at the 2024 Girl Scout Collector’s Show on May 17 and 18 in Conover. Explore the exciting past of Girl Scouts with a memorabilia scavenger hunt, view engaging displays and visit with collectors from across the eastern part of the United States. The Archives Committee will also have a display at the Annual Meeting, showing how STEM is a part of the Girl Scout history.
