Let’s Hit the Road This Summer!
In addition to the wildly fun summer camp programs we have planned in our footprint, we are also taking campers on a road trip to Kentucky! We’ll visit the renowned Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, tour a horse farm and discover the rich equestrian history of the Bluegrass State. All girls in rising grades 6-12 are invited on this adventure!
Please note that Cookie Dough and Daisy Dollars can be applied towards payment on this trip or any other summer camp program. You can also redeem these credits on GSCP2P retail purchases, such as our new Join Our Herd T-shirts and We Are the Wildlife camp apparel. Orders are due today!
Are You Planning Your Own Roadtrip With Your Troop?
We want to hear about your Girl Scout adventures! For a chance to be featured on our social media, submit your photos and story about a service project, field trip or other experience here.
Volunteers, don’t forget that the Overnight & Activity License is required for all overnights and field trips outside of a normal troop meeting. This is an online, self-paced course available in the Content Library of gsLearn. You’ll find gsLearn via the left menu bar of MyGS in My Account.
Nature Cat Is Coming to Camp
Grab your tickets and join PBS, Nature Cat and Girl Scout friends from all over North Carolina in this special one-day celebration. Girl Scouts will spend the day exploring the outdoors and developing connections with the natural world through hands-on activities.
Activities can include:
- Help create a butterfly garden.
- Learn about pollinators and build a bee hotel.
- Learn about bat colonies in North Carolina and make a bat house.
- Identify rocks and minerals in a geology lab.
- Visit and explore the ecosystem at the barn.
- Explore an aquatic ecosystem.
All participants will also have the opportunity to meet PBS’s very own Nature Cat and enjoy a provided picnic lunch at camp.
Bring Your Family to Camp
Registration for our Open House and Family Fun Day at Keyauwee Program Center closes on Saturday! This is a chance to explore our property before summer camp while also enjoying traditional camp activities with your family- like boating, archery, slingshots, climbing wall and arts and crafts!
Can’t attend? We also have a virtual Summer Camp Q&A session next week. Meet our staff and ask any questions you have as you prepare for summer camp!
