Summer Camp Is Almost Here!
There are still seats available for campers in rising grades K-12 to join us for our wildly fun summer camp programs. Discover fun, friends and adventure in the outdoors at one of our day, overnight or horse programs! Whether you are looking for an Adrenaline Rush, wanting to win the Golden Panther during Clash of the Cabins or interested in an Equine Experience Day Camp, we can’t wait for you to join us for our best summer yet!
Want to exercise your leadership skills this summer, make new friends and get paid? Girl Scout Ambassadors are invited to apply for a camp position as a Unit Counselor or Camp Care Team member.
Are you a health professional looking for a fun and rewarding summer opportunity? We are still hiring for a Health Supervisor for our summer camp programs! The Health Supervisor cares for the physical wellbeing of all campers and staff by administering medications and first aid care, reviewing health history forms and conducting health screenings for all campers, and ensuring that all health and wellness standards are met at camp. Candidates must be over the age of 21 and hold a WFR, Lifeguard, CNA or LPN certification – RNs, Paramedics, and EMTs are preferred. This position is open to hybrid opportunities for the right candidate. We know many of our volunteers are qualified candidates and would like to offer free camp to eligible children of the final candidate during the time they are working for us.
Nature Cat Is Coming to Camp
While registration for our Camp Open Houses and Family Fun days have passed, there is still time to explore Keyauwee Program Center on June 1 before joining us at summer camp! Grab tickets for your friends and family by May 20 to join PBS, Nature Cat and Girl Scout friends from all over North Carolina. In this special one-day celebration we will explore the outdoors and developing connections with the natural world through hands-on activities.
Activities can include:
- Help create a butterfly garden.
- Learn about pollinators and build a bee hotel.
- Identify rocks and minerals in a geology lab.
- Visit and explore the ecosystem at the barn.
- Explore an aquatic ecosystem.
All participants will also have the opportunity to meet PBS’s very own Nature Cat and enjoy a provided picnic lunch at camp.

Reserve your troop camping trip at Camp Pisgah this summer or lock in a date at any of our camp properties for a fall experience. You can also add a Camp-In-A-Box activity to your troop camping reservation and get a box with a lesson plan and all the supplies you need to complete the badge. Volunteers who need to complete the tenting portion of the Camp License can register for our upcoming Tenting Training in Greensboro on June 1.
Let’s Kick off Summer With a Splash!
We are looking forward to celebrating our top cookie sellers at Wet’n Wild Emerald Pointe in Greensboro on June 8! While all Girl Scouts who sold 500 or more boxes of Girl Scout Cookies in the 2024 Girl Scout Cookie Program received an e-mail to claim their free tickets, all members are invited to join us for a day of fun at the water park! Tickets for June 8 can be purchased at a discounted Girl Scout rate directly through Emerald Pointe.
