Celebrating Our Highest Award Girl Scouts
We had an amazing weekend at our Girl Award Ceremonies. We celebrated 131 Bronze Award Girl Scouts, 132 Silver Award Girl Scouts and 40 Gold Award Girl Scouts this year who have contributed well over 12,000 hours of service to their communities. Join us in this celebration and get inspired by the amazing leadership shown by our Girl Scouts by looking through and sharing our 2023-2024 Highest Awards Yearbook.

Don’t forget that Gold Award training is required before you start your project! We have two virtual training sessions happening this summer that you can register for on our calendar.

The Triad Service Center and Girl Scout Shop is moving to a new location in Greensboro. The shop will be participating in this sale once open starting on May 25 during the special Saturday shop hours offered at all locations. Triad shoppers can also enjoy the new shop for an extra hour during the Grand Opening on Tuesday, May 28. In addition to great savings, you can also tour our new space and girls can get a free patch!
Please note that all of our service centers and shops will be closed on Monday, May 27 in observance of Memorial Day. The Asheville Girl Scout Shop will also be closing an hour early at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28.
Can’t make it to the shop? Check out our Summer Camp Explorer Kit that is available for pre-order only. We will mail our favorite camp essentials right to your door! Each kit includes a bucket hat, a mood pedometer watch, a pop-it bubble keyring, a backpack and a flip-top foldable water bottle with a carabiner.

Let’s Have Some Fun in the Sun
We have extended our Nature Cat Goes to Camp ticket deadline to Thursday, May 23! Join us at Keyauwee Program Center on June 1 to explore our property before your visit to summer camp, discover connections with the natural world through hands-on activities, meet PBS’s very own Nature Cat and enjoy a picnic on us. This event is open to the community, so invite your friends and show them what Girl Scout fun is all about!
Celebrate our top cookie sellers with us at Wet’n Wild Emerald Pointe in Greensboro on June 8! While all Girl Scouts who sold 500 or more boxes of Girl Scout Cookies in the 2024 Girl Scout Cookie Program received an e-mail to claim their free tickets, all members are invited to join us for a day of fun at the water park! Tickets for June 8 can be purchased at a discounted Girl Scout rate directly through Emerald Pointe.
There are still seats available for campers in rising grades K-12 to join us for our wildly fun summer camp programs. Discover fun, friends and adventure in the outdoors at one of our day, overnight or horse programs! We have exciting field trips lined up for all of our overnight programs, and we also have an equestrian-themed road trip to Kentucky planned for Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors. Whether you are ready to stargaze and camp out at an internationally certified Dark Sky Park during Galaxy Explorers, wanting to be a contestant on some of your favorite game shows and play laser tag during Game Show, Show Down or interested in meeting our horses or taking a trip to the zoo during Animal Adventures, we can’t wait for you to join us for our best summer yet!

Do you love to share how awesome Girl Scouting is? We have part-time Engagement Manager positions in Forsyth and Transylvania counties.
We also have a few seasonal summer camp staff positions available. Girl Scout Ambassadors are invited to apply for a camp position as a Unit Counselor or Camp Care Team member and exercise your leadership skills make new friends and get paid to be at camp!
Are you a health professional looking for a fun and rewarding summer opportunity? We are still hiring for a Health Supervisor for our summer camp programs! The Health Supervisor cares for the physical wellbeing of all campers and staff by administering medications and first aid care, reviewing health history forms and conducting health screenings for all campers and ensuring that all health and wellness standards are met at camp. Candidates must be over the age of 21 and hold a WFR, Lifeguard, CNA or LPN certification – RNs, Paramedics and EMTs are preferred. This position is open to hybrid opportunities for the right candidate. We know many of our volunteers are qualified candidates and would like to offer free camp to eligible children of the final candidate during the time they are working for us.
Exploring the Outdoors With Your Troop This Summer?
Don’t forget that you can rent our camping gear for your next adventure at our camp properties and beyond! Reserve your troop camping trip at Camp Pisgah this summer or lock in a date at any of our camp properties for a fall experience. You can also add a Camp-In-A-Box activity to your troop camping reservation and get a box with a lesson plan and all the supplies you need to complete the badge.
