Congratulations G.E.O. Girl Scouts
We had a blast last weekend at Wet’n Wild Emerald Pointe celebrating our Girl Scouts who sold over 500 packages of cookies during our Girl Scout Cookie Program this year! In addition to a day of fun at the waterpark, prize drawings and awarding G.E.O. pins, we also awarded $15,500 in scholarships! Learn more about the achievements of our G.E.O. GSUSA Gold Award Scholarship Announcement
Congratulations to Kenna Talhelm on being selected as our council’s recipient of the $5,000 GSUSA Gold Award Scholarship! Kenna’s outstanding Gold Award project, “Cleaning Waterways Through Stormwater Education,” demonstrates measurable and sustainable impact and addresses an issue of national and/or global significance, proving that Girl Scouts of courage, confidence and character truly do make the world a better place. Kenna’s accomplishments will endure for generations to come and serve as a powerful example of Girl Scouting in action.
You can make a difference too! Summer is a great time to earn a Highest Award! Find resources to guide you through the Girl Scout Bronze, Silver or Gold Award on our website and register for virtual Highest Award Q&A sessions or Gold Award Training workshops on our calendar. Please note that Gold Award Training is required before starting work on your project.
New Troop Spring Renewal Reward
We’re ready to help you with your back-to-troop needs! All troops that renew 75% of their members by July 31 will earn a $25 gift certificate to use at any GSCP2P Girl Scout Shop or on orders placed using the GSCP2P Girl Scout Shop form! Plus, your troop will be entered into a drawing and could win one of 10 customized troop banners. Renew your membership by logging in to your MyGS account!
Summer Road Trip
We’re gearing up for our amazing lineup of day, overnight and horse summer camp programs and we can’t wait for you to join us! Did you know we’re hitting the road and bringing our STEMtastic Day Camp to Mitchell Community College in Statesville? All girls grades K-3 are invited!
You can hit the road too! We have a special Kentucky Bound equestrian-themed road trip for girls grades 6-12. Plus, all of our overnight campers in grades 6 and up will get to enjoy field trips related to their camp program’s theme. Our younger overnight campers can enjoy a field trip to a baseball game during our Clash of the Cabins program or visit Circle C Equestrian Center during our Animal Adventures program.
Troop Year End Reports Due July 1
Troop leaders, it is time to complete your Troop Year End Report. The Engagement team will offer assistance on Tuesday, June 25 and Thursday, June 27 from 4-7 p.m. via Zoom (Meeting ID: 880 1430 8592 Passcode: 166874). Each year, Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont needs to report our progress and success to our communities and membership. We are required to obtain data from troops and service units annually to maintain our 501c3 status. The Troop Year End Report allows us to gather this critical information. Your help is greatly appreciated with this important task.

Save the date for our 2024 Volunteer Conference, an annual event where you come together with fellow volunteers to share your experiences and work towards a common goal. Let’s kick off an amazing Girl Scout year together on Saturday, August 3 in Nebo or Sunday, August 4 in Lewisville!
