We are excited to kick off another membership year for GSCP2P and want to make sure you have everything you need to start your year off right. Come visit our GSCP2P team at one of the following Open Houses as you begin Your Year to Shine! Staff will be on hand to answer your questions, and the shop will be open during these special hours. Circle C Equestrian Center Open House This Weekend
We’re excited to see you at the barn this Saturday, August 24, between 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.! Meet the horses, take a tour and learn more about our Girl Scout and community riding programs! You can also get to know our Riding Instructors, sign up for lessons, join the Riding Instructor-In-Training (RIIT) leadership program or find out more about our year-round horse opportunities. There will be activities, games and fun for the whole family.
We will also be hosting a Girl Scout Sign Up event at Keyauwee Program Center during this time, so bring a friend to explore Girl Scout options and get their uniform at the Trading Post. We will also have some fun activity stations, like bottle rockets, Girl Scout traditions, learn a camping skill and art. Admission is free, but we would appreciate an RSVP.
Enjoy Camp With Your Troop at Council-Wide Campout
Join us for this year’s Council-Wide Camp Out at Camp Ginger Cascades on September 27-29! Enjoy a fun-filled weekend with both old friends and new. Experience classic camping activities like archery, boating and the climbing wall, while also learning new outdoor skills for your next troop adventure. The weekend includes all meals and snacks on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday. Additionally, your admission to the GSCP2P 15th Birthday Bash on Saturday evening is included. Don’t miss out on this unforgettable weekend of adventure and celebration! Please note that this is not a drop-off event; all campers must be accompanied by proper adult supervision.

Don’t want to spend the night? Join us for our 15th Birthday Bash on Saturday, September 28! Enjoy fun activities, delicious treats and a dinner. Then, dance the night away with family and friends!
Get Outside With Your Family
Discover the great outdoors at our Camp Open House and Family Fun Day events happening at Camp Pisgah in September, Camp Ginger Cascades in October and Keyauwee Program Center in November! Bring the whole family to camp for a day of fun, including traditional camp activities like boating, archery, slingshots, climbing wall and arts and crafts. This event will have a drop-in format where families can choose their own adventure for the day.
Keyauwee Program Center will also be hosting a special Family Camp: Horsin’ Around with STEM on October 5-6! Join us for hands-on STEM activities that delve into the intersection of science and horses as well as traditional camp activities.

Adult Volunteer Trainings
This Thursday, August 22 is the registration deadline for Leaderee! Want to get your First Aider, Cookout License, Camp License or discover ways to engage your troop this year? Refuel your batteries at Keyauwee Program Center in Sophia, NC with two fun-filled days packed with classes, delicious food and the company of fellow leaders who understand the joys and challenges of your role.
Is your troop ready to get outside and camp, but you don’t know where to start? Join us for an upcoming virtual Troop Camping Information Session! If you are ready to help plan a camporee for your Service Unit, our virtual Camporee Director Training happening on Thursday, September 12 is a great place to learn more and get your questions answered.
Scholarship requests for Trainfest are due August 30! This adult learning weekend at Camp Pisgah October 4-6 is a second chance for you to get your First Aider, Camp License and learn more ways to engage your troop! Experience two days in Brevard, NC filled with educational classes, great food and fellowship with other adult volunteers. Leave our adult learning weekend feeling energized, connected and ready to lead your Girl Scouts to new heights in the coming year.
