Strategic Plan Update from our CEO
As was mentioned previously, GSCP2P is updating its 3-year Strategic Plan, which will focus on membership years 2025-2027. Many of you participated in the early summer through focus groups, surveys and phone calls – thank you so much for sharing your perspective and vision for the council. Using your feedback, the Board and staff have worked closely with the consultants from Crescent Leadership during the past two months to create the high-level framework. As we prepare for the development of tactics and measurements, I ask that you review the framework and let us know your thoughts at info@girlscoutsp2p.org. We want this strategy to be something that we can all champion – and creating our path forward in partnership with you helps that be our reality! Thank you very much in advance for your commitment to our mission and to the Girl Scouts we serve!

We’re Hiring

At GSCP2P, we are so proud of and fortunate to have three amazing camp properties for girls, volunteers, families and the community to enjoy:
- Camp Pisgah – Brevard, NC
- Keyauwee Program Center – Sophia, NC
- Camp Ginger Cascades – Lenoir, NC
To keep the properties in satisfactory condition, we rely on the Properties and Camps team, which includes three rangers (one located at each of our properties). Rangers are skilled individuals who have the capacity to execute general maintenance tasks and who can manage contractors working onsite for larger projects or specialized work.
At two of our properties – Keyauwee Program Center and Camp Pisgah – our rangers have recently indicated that they are leaving GSCP2P for advancement in their respective areas of industry. We are happy for them and wish them well. We also need to backfill both positions as soon as possible.
To that end, we are asking for your help. In addition to breadth of promotion we drop when we advertise for hire, we are asking you to spread the word and share our Ranger Application with your family, friends and colleagues.
Please note: the requirement that the ranger live on property has been revised to only require a proximity to the site. Thank you in advance for your assistance in finding those next special people who can help us bring the magic of camp to our Girl Scouts!
