Special 57th National Council Session Results

On October 19, 2024, Girl Scouts of the USA and the National Board had the privilege of holding the first-ever special session of our National Council, where girl and adult delegates, representing councils across the country, discussed and voted on proposals regarding our national membership dues. The National Council approved national membership dues of $65 for girls phased in with $45 for Membership Year 2026 and $65 for Membership Year 2027 and $30 for adults. There is no change to the national membership dues for the current membership year.

Amazing Work, Girl Scouts!

We want to thank Girl Scouts in our council who are taking action to help others through the aftermath of Hurricane Helene with a special patch. Please submit your information to the Girl Scout News form and check the Hurricane Helene Relief Stories box.

If you have already submitted a story, thank you! You do not need to re-submit. If you are unsure if you checked the Hurricane Helene Relief Stories box, please e-mail info@girlscoutsp2p.org to confirm you are on our list to receive a special thank you.

It’s Almost Cookie Time

We’re kicking off Girl Scout Cookie Season in a big way on Saturday, December 7 in Hickory- and registration for Cookie Expo and Cookie University is now open!

The annual GSCP2P Girl Scout Cookie Expo includes opportunities for Girl Scout Daisies, Brownies and Juniors to participate in fun, hands-on activities and kickoff the 2025 Girl Scout Cookie season with style. We have expanded our kickoff celebration to include Cookie University this year and are inviting Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors to play the game of life! Imagine a life-sized game board where girls become entrepreneurs for a day, making real-world decisions that sharpen their leadership and financial skills. As they move through each station, they’ll take on exciting roles like CEO, Marketing Expert and Sales Superstar, experiencing everything from setting goals and managing finances to developing customer relationships.

Become a National Delegate and Represent GSCP2P in Washington D.C.

We’re excited to announce that the 2026 Girl Scout Convention will take place in Washington, DC, from Monday, July 20, through Saturday, July 25.

Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont will send 4 – 6 National Delegates to the 2026 National Convention to attend the festivities and represent us at the National Council Session. Fall Product Program Rewards

How close are you to earning your customized troop T-shirt? Reach $325 in combined sales to receive this custom swag and join in the fun of learning business skills while earning funds for amazing Girl Scout experiences this year! Learn more about our Fall Product Program and get started by creating your M2 account

Being a sensitive and compassionate entrepreneur is important:

  • Please do not ask any friends and family facing tragedies and hardship to make purchases.
  • Brainstorm with your troop on how to delegate some Fall Product proceeds for good. Set goals and create a plan – then explain to your customers how their purchase will be used for good.
  • NEW! You can now promote our community troop Fall Product link. Proceeds from these Fall Product purchases will go directly to supporting Girl Scouts in our council who were affected by Hurricane Helene.

Congratulations to last week’s Fall Product Program top sellers! The Girl Scout who sells the most items in total dollar sales by the end of the program will win a jumbo elephant plush.

Adult Volunteer Resources & Trainings

Ready for a year of fun? Our age-appropriate troop year plans are the best tool for first year troop leaders to get started with Girl Scouts without getting overwhelmed. The entire year is mapped out—just follow along to help your Girl Scouts complete badge activities, improve their communities and explore the world around them! Want to invite more girls to join the fun? Use our customizable Join Our Troop flyer!

Remember, Girl Scouts isn’t about sticking to a strict curriculum. It’s about trying new things, experiencing it together and reflecting on what you learned and how it changed you. A successful troop leader is someone who can bring together a group of Girl Scouts to do just that. They guide Girl Scouts through earning badges and awards or simply having fun together while allowing the girls to take the lead whenever possible.
