Today’s Tips 10.28.24

Celebrate Founder’s Day

October 31 is Juliette Gordon Low’s birthday! Celebrate Girl Scouts’ founder with activities from the Girl Scout History patch program, enjoy discounts at our Girl Scout Shops and party with us at the Triad Service Center or host your own party to celebrate Girl Scouts.

New Cookie Hoodie Available for Pre-order

Congratulations to Amelia for winning our “Let’s Get Creative” Hoodie Design Contest! Pre-order this exclusive hoodie by November 9 and enjoy in early December.

Her STEMtastic Future Speaker Series

We’re kicking off a virtual STEMtastic Speaker Series to help girls discover STEM-related career opportunities on Monday, November 11.

Join our friends at Mission Health as we explore careers in the medical field. Hear from a nationally-recognized trauma surgeon and a flight nurse who leads the helicopter rescue team. Discover the paths that led these extraordinary women to their careers, and learn how they overcame the challenges they faced along the way. This is a unique opportunity for Girl Scouts to ask questions and gain insight into the rewarding world of medical professions, while getting inspired by real-life stories of perseverance and passion.

Fall Product Program Rewards

Calling all Girl Scouts to help us with our Care to Share service project! Let’s stock our local food banks with delicious Honey Roasted Peanuts for the holidays. Earn the Care to Share patch by selling at least five items for Care to Share- and join in the fun of learning business skills while earning funds for amazing Girl Scout experiences this year! Learn more about our Fall Product Program and get started by creating your M2 account

Being a sensitive and compassionate entrepreneur is important:

  • Please do not ask any friends and family facing tragedies and hardship to make purchases.
  • Brainstorm with your troop on how to delegate some Fall Product proceeds for good. Set goals and create a plan – then explain to your customers how their purchase will be used for good.
  • NEW! You can now promote our community troop Fall Product link. Proceeds from these Fall Product purchases will go directly to supporting Girl Scouts in our council who were affected by Hurricane Helene.

Congratulations to last week’s Fall Product Program top sellers! The Girl Scout who sells the most items in total dollar sales by the end of the program will win a jumbo elephant plush.

Represent GSCP2P as a Delegate

Become a Council Delegate and Represent Your Service Unit
Represent your service unit at GSCP2P’s Annual Meeting on April 26 and at Board Forums as a council delegate. These are elected positions that will be part of your local service unit and can be held by any registered Girl Scouts ages 14 and up as well as Girl Scout adults. Learn more and apply to be a council delegate.

Become a National Delegate and Represent GSCP2P in Washington D.C.
We’re excited to announce that the 2026 Girl Scout Convention will take place in Washington, DC, from Monday, July 20, through Saturday, July 25.

Every three years, members from each council in Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) gather to conduct business on a national scale. Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont will send 4 – 6 National Delegates to the 2026 National Convention to attend the festivities and represent us at the National Council Session. This position can be held by any registered Girl Scouts ages 14 and up as well as Girl Scout adults. Learn more and apply to be a national delegate.

Amazing Work, Girl Scouts!

We want to thank Girl Scouts in our council who are taking action to help others through the aftermath of Hurricane Helene with a special patch. Please submit your information to the Girl Scout News form and check the Hurricane Helene Relief Stories box.

If you have already submitted a story, thank you! You do not need to re-submit. If you are unsure if you checked the Hurricane Helene Relief Stories box, please e-mail info@girlscoutsp2p.org to confirm you are on our list to receive a special thank you.

Are your Girl Scouts excited to explore beyond your regular meeting place? Make sure the Add Driver Form is approved for any volunteers who will be driving girls on behalf of the troop.
