Supporting Girl Scouts in LA

The Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles council has shared wildfire resources and ways to help as their communities navigate this tragedy. Please join us in encouraging our Girl Scout sisters by writing letters, recycling old uniform pieces, purchasing a patch or donating to emergency response organizations or council recommended efforts.

Leadership Program Applications Due Soon

Calling Girl Scouts in grades 6-10! GSUSA is seeking up to 11 new members to join the National Girl Scout Advisory Board to GSUSA for a two-year term. Our council will nominate two Girl Scouts, so learn more and apply by January 29.

The National Girl Scout Advisory Board to GSUSA is a group of middle and high school Girl Scouts who make recommendations, contribute to key initiatives and influence decision-making processes with our national office. Advisory board members develop leadership skills, collaborate with decision-makers at GSUSA and grow skills to prepare for post-secondary education and future leadership opportunities.

Are you an aspiring camp counselor or an older camper looking to take your leadership skills to the next level? Girl Scout Ambassadors are invited to apply to our Teen Outdoor Leadership Program (TOLP) by January 31! TOLP expands the Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program from a summer camp experience to a year-round leadership development program. In addition to the summer CIT program, TOLP offers the Teen Outdoor Leadership Summit in the spring and Teen Outdoor Leadership Conference in the fall to keep program members engaged and learning throughout the year!

The Riding-Instructor-In-Training (RIIT) program is a leadership and horsemanship development opportunity for Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors. Throughout the year, RIITs log their volunteer hours and have an opportunity to exchange those hours for riding and other RIIT-only opportunities. Register for our RIIT Orientation happening on February 22 at Circle C Equestrian Center.

High School students are invited to apply for Rotary Youth Leadership Academy, an overnight leadership experience in Canton, NC from Thursday, April 10 – Sunday, April 13, 2025. This experience is free for attendees sponsored by a Rotary Club, and there is information on local clubs that you can contact if you would like a sponsorship. Applications are due March 14, but early bird applications should be submitted by January 31.
