Powerful Tools
As we step into February together, I wanted to take a moment to say thank you to the families and volunteers supporting this year’s Girl Scout Cookie Program. Your encouragement during Walk-About Week and regular cookie booths, your diligence in counting at cookie cupboards and your dedication to helping Girl Scouts grow in confidence are preparing her for future success in school, business and beyond!
I know our girl members are working each week to exceed their goals, and I can’t wait to hear how you use your hard-earned proceeds to create amazing Girl Scout adventures and impactful community service projects. It’s hard to believe there is only one month left of the program, but I am confident that you can harness your skills to earn those cookie rewards you’ve set your mind to, go to summer camp or even cover your membership dues for next year.
That’s right – Girl Scouts that sell 625 packages of cookies will earn a FREE membership, automatically be renewed for the 2025-2026 membership year and be eligible for any Spring Renewal rewards. Due to the nationally voted dues increase for 2025-2026, this is now a $45 value!
If you’re aiming even higher, you could become a Stellar Seller. These are Girl Scouts who sell at least 3,000 packages of cookies and are invited to travel with me to Charlotte, NC for a weekend experience.
A Girl Scout Cookie is a powerful tool. With 100% of the proceeds staying local, our council can provide unique programming that uplifts the four pillars of Girl Scouting: Outdoors, Life Skills, STEM and Entrepreneurship. Our calendar is full of spring events, summer camp registration is open and I hope you will join us for even more fun and learning throughout the year!
I would also like to extend a personal invitation to our upcoming Board Forums. We are hosting several informational events with our Board of Directors, and your feedback as Girl Scouts Adults is imperative. You can be a powerful tool in shaping the efforts of our organization and we welcome you to attend a forum at a service center or to attend virtually:
- Monday, February 10, 6 p.m. (Gastonia Service Center)
- Tuesday, February 25, 6 p.m. (Hickory Service Center)
- Tuesday, March 11, 6 p.m. (Triad Service Center)
- Thursday, March 27, 4:30 p.m. (Asheville Service Center)
Thank you for unboxing the future with us,

Jennifer Wilcox, CEO
Walk-About Winners
Congratulations to Troop 10061 and 102286! Their submissions to our photo contest were drawn, winning them an ice cream party.

Spring Troop Horse Programs
Enjoy riding time and a barn activity at Circle C with your troop! Our Troop Horse Program is perfect for first time and infrequent riders and will be tailored to the lowest level of rider present. We have an indoor arena, so all programs will run if it rains. If you have been to Circle C before for a Troop Program, have older Girl Scouts or have more experienced riders, we do offer trail riding, weather permitting. Once you have registered for your session, an Equine Experience staff member will be in contact to discuss your program, adaptations or accommodations.

Win Prizes at Our Virtual Boutique

Make sure to subscribe to our Facebook Page to get our latest news and join us on Wednesday, February 12 for a virtual GSCP2P Shop Boutique. Discover our trending items and interact with us for a chance to win some prizes!
Winning Goodwill Patch Design
A huge congratulations to Lela in Troop 30066 for winning the “Good Turn for Goodwill” Patch Design Contest! The Good Turn for Goodwill service project is an annual event that takes place every fall and teaches Girl Scouts about Goodwill’s employment and training programs and how donations support these important efforts.

Black History Month

February is Black History Month where we honor the incredible contributions the Black and African American communities have made throughout U.S. history — from civil rights leaders to artists, politicians to inventors. Take this opportunity to learn more about the community’s central role in U.S. history and the world. We’ve got plenty of activities to choose from, so you can make new discoveries and have tons of fun while earning your Black History Month patch.

World Thinking Day Awards

World Thinking Day is a Girl Scout holiday that is celebrated every year on February 22. It’s a day to celebrate our international sisterhood and stand up for causes that can improve girls’ lives around the world. Each year brings a new theme and the World Thinking Day awards can be earned at any time during the year.
Start learning about World Thinking Day and embracing perspectives outside your own with this year’s World Thinking Day activity guides! Dive into this year’s focus of “Our Story: Reflecting the symbolism and values of our Movement” and explore how you can build the confidence to know you can make a real difference, in your community and beyond. Think about the issues that contribute to problems near or far and about the little things you can do to make a big difference!
Mobile Shop Discount
The Hickory Girl Scout Shop is growing wheels and is officially a mobile shop service! The Gastonia and Hickory Service Centers no longer operate a brick-and-mortar retail experience, but they are open for shop pickups. View our locations and hours and use the GSCP2P Shop Order Form to coordinate a pickup or to have items shipped to you.

We are excited to hit the road and deliver Girl Scout shopping experiences to you! Reserve a Pop Up Shop or Troop Uniform Shop using our GSCP2P Shop Order Form. And, to ensure you have a great experience, we’re extending our mobile shop special offer! Enjoy 10% off orders of $25 or more when you schedule your next Pop Up Shop or Troop Uniform Shop event to take place by March 31.
