Summer Adventures for All Ages
The Girl Scout Leadership Experience is designed to grow with each Girl Scout. Whether you choose to explore STEM, entrepreneurship, life skills or the great outdoors, our programming provides a progression-based model to gradually build upon age-appropriate skills.

We are excited to provide a summer of fun, friendship and adventure to Girl Scouts of all ages. Our summer camp book includes a readiness quiz for campers and their guardians to help you decide if a full week or mini overnight session is right for you. If your Girl Scout is a rising first grader, or if your Girl Scout isn’t ready to try overnight camp, we encourage you to get a taste of summer camp at our community day camp programs happening in Gastonia, Winston-Salem and Greensboro.
If your Girl Scout is a rising sixth grader or older, we also have an Adventure Day Camp. We’ll meet each morning at the Greensboro Service Center and explore a new destination with a fresh experience! From the rush of whitewater rafting, to exploring treetops on a high-ropes challenge course, to the excitement of gliding through the city on a Segway tour, every day is packed with fun.
And if you have an older camper ready to take on new thrills, we have two specialty programs to advance their outdoor exploration. Paddle to a private island for a unique overnight camping spot when you register for Spirit of Adventure or try an overnight backpacking trek when you register for Venture Out!
We have ways to get outside this summer for Girl Scouts at every comfort level. If your Girl Scout is thinking of registering for an overnight session, we invite you to come and explore what our camp has to offer at Keyauwee Program Center’s Open House on Sunday, March 9! This is the perfect opportunity for families to get a firsthand look at our beautiful facilities, meet our friendly staff and ask your summer camp-related questions. Whether you’re a returning camper or considering camp for the first time, our Open House is the perfect way to get a feel for the camp experience. We will also have a special ribbon cutting at 2 p.m. to celebrate the new Caraway deck. Thank you to the group of amazing volunteers who have worked hard to restore this unique and well-loved feature of this unit.

Giant Surprise in 2025

The Girl Scout Cookie Program is bringing a new surprise this week- a GIANT one! The Girl Scout selling the most girl-delivery packages through their e-commerce link between February 24-March 9 will receive a Giant Panda Plush.
We had a blast seeing your #SweetSurpriseIn2025 social media posts last week as we rang in National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend and our new booth partnership with Wendy’s. We will announce the winners of FREE Wendy’s Frostys for a year next week, but there is still time to snag a free patch before this year’s cookie program ends.

Girl Board Member Applications Open

Service as a Girl Representative to the Council Board of Directors offers girls in 10th or 11th grade the opportunity to learn leadership and real-world skills needed to work in a business atmosphere. During a Girl Representative’s one-year term, beginning at the Annual Meeting, she will learn about the inner workings of Girl Scouts, how the Board influences and supports the Council and the girls, group dynamics, planning skills and financial accountability. Applications to become a Girl Board Member are open until March 20, 2025.
Thank you to Alexandra Heavener and Willa Stoutner for serving as our 2024-2025 Girl Board Members!
All members are invited to join us at Annual Meeting on Saturday, April 26 as we gather in Boone to celebrate 15 years of our council, welcome our new Girl Board Members and recognize the amazing accomplishments of our volunteers. Our day of celebration will include lunch, guest speakers and a business meeting with important council updates.
