Celebrate Sisterhood
As we enter our last month of Spring Renewal, we look forward to the amazing year of Girl Scout fun, friends, adventure and learning ahead. If you have renewed your Girl Scout membership between April 1-May 31, stay tuned for an e-mail to request your size for the free Sisterhood T-shirt reward this week! If you did not earn a free T-shirt through our Spring Renewal Rewards, you can purchase Sisterhood T-shirts in youth and adult sizes for just $12 each between now and June 17.

If you haven’t renewed your membership yet, you can login to your MyGS account to make sure you are set to join us for the 2025-2026 membership year. Youth members who renew their membership by June 30, 2025 will get a free Your Year of Adventure patch!
If you are interested in continuing the upcoming Girl Scout year with a different troop or as an Independently Registered Girl Scout, our staff are here to help you find the best opportunities for you and your family. Reach out to us at info@girlscoutsp2p.org or 800-672-2148.

Museum Fun

It has just been announced that the Hickory Museum of Art is hosting an artist talk by Virgil Ortiz this weekend! This event is presented in conjunction with Virgil Ortiz’s current exhibition at Hickory Museum of Art, I AM: Indigenous Ancestral Memory, on view through August 31, 2025.
You can view the exhibit any time during museum hours and complete the exclusive Girl Scout activity book to earn a special patch that Ortiz is designing! During your visit, you can also view our display Unbridled Courage: The Girl Scout Story, which uplifts Ortiz’s theme of female strength.
Tough Girls Save Lives Day Camp
Girl Scouts of Rutherford County are hosting a day camp June 23-27! Participate in activities all week, including archery, arts and crafts, various STEM activities, along with learning camp songs and Girl Scout traditions. You will also have opportunities to meet local women working in first responder roles and explore first aid and safety principles.

Forsyth Amateur Radio Club Field Day

Calling all Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors! Come learn about ham radio equipment and the work these operators do for community communications during power outages. At the Forsyth Amateur Radio Club Field Day, you can have a chance to use a radio and talk with people around the country. Certificates will be given to document your attendance. Troops and families are invites to attend. Activities will take approximately one hour, but you can stay as long as you like. No registration necessary so just come and enjoy! This is a free event, but Girl Scouts are asked to wear their unform (sash/vest) when attending.

Adult Volunteer Resources & Trainings

Each year, Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont needs to report our progress and success to our communities and membership. We are required to obtain data from troops and service units annually to maintain our 501c3 status. Completion of these reports helps us update your records and to better understand how we can best support you. Your help is greatly appreciated with this important task. Get started on your Troop Year End report or Service Unit Year End and submit by July 1.
