Splashing Into Summer
Congratulations to our 814 Girl Scouts who reached the Girls Empowering Opportunity (G.E.O.) achievement for selling 500 or more packages of Girl Scout Cookies during the 2025 Girl Scout Cookie Program! We had a wonderful day celebrating your budding entrepreneurial skills with over 1,000 Girl Scouts attending our G.E.O. Event at Wet n’ Wild Emerald Pointe in Greensboro.
Our sunny day was filled with door prizes, a dance party, waterpark attractions and the awarding of $15,500 in scholarships for higher education!
We awarded scholarships to the top sellers in our council this season:
Top Seller ($2,500 scholarship):
Angela Nix, Troop 13050
2nd Highest Seller ($2,000 scholarship):
Isabella Dos Santos, Troop 42504
3rd Highest Seller ($1,000 scholarship):
Cayla Blanchard, Troop 10041
And also held a drawing for five $2,000 scholarships to the following G.E.O Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors: Eryka Miller of Troop 40447, Abigail Smith of Troop 1868, Sara Smith of Troop 10807, Layla Steele of Troop 2558 and Juliette Wenzel of Troop 12703.
We also recognized Italy Cabrera-Miller of Troop 40153, Jorja Bolick of Troop 40328 and Ryleigh Smith of Troop 40153 as the top sellers for the 2024 Fall Product Program!
Congratulations to everyone on your achievements! In addition to the knowledge you’ve gained, we hope the Nut Bucks, Cookie Dough and Daisy Dollars you’ve earned will pave the way toward new adventures.
Cookie Dough expire December 11, 2025. Daisy Dollars expire September 10, 2026. Nut Bucks expire September 11, 2025.

Lastly, we honored Jeannie Brown, Senior Director of Product Program, with the Thanks Badge Award and warm wishes for a wonderful retirement. For over 30 years, she has gone above and beyond in her service, playing a crucial role in the success of Girl Scout Product Programs. She continuously found innovative ways to grow the cookie program, including launching Operation Sweet Treat, which sends cookies to active-duty U.S. military personnel. Her efforts have provided invaluable entrepreneurship, leadership and teamwork opportunities for thousands of girls. She has trained troop leaders, coordinated thousands of annual orders, managed inventory, organized booth sales and handled financials, ensuring the programs’ continued success. Beyond logistics, Jeannie serves as a mentor and role model, inspiring girls to set ambitious goals and develop business strategies. Her passion for empowering young girls to build courage, confidence and character is evident.
