Wildlife, Geysers and Mountains: A National Park Adventure with Girl Scout Ciera

Girl Scout Destinations is the place to make new friends from all over the country, see and learn new things and bring back life-changing experiences and memories. That’s what Girl Scout Ciera did last summer when she attended “Wildlife, Geysers and Mountains: A National Park Adventure” at Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks!

“My Girl Scout Destination experience has inspired me to study more about the wolf reintroduction and the continued conservation efforts in Yellowstone National Park. I’ve already learned about the wolves of Yellowstone and have written multiple essays on the park and its wildlife in my ALA class.”

On this Girl Scout Destination, aspiring outdoor adventurers and conservation leaders gathered in the Yellowstone ecosystem, surrounded by snow-capped mountains, iconic geysers and North America’s most magnificent wildlife like bison, elk and wolves. Under the guidance of field instructors at Teton Science Schools, Girl Scouts were immersed in one of the most breathtaking places on earth.

“I was thrilled when we were able to visit the Rose Creek reintroduction pen. We were told the story of 9F, 10M and the Druid Peak Pack. Hearing of these wolves, I have been trying to update myself on the current news of the Yellowstone packs.”

This Girl Scout Destination, like exploring National Parks, is the perfect place to ignite passions for the outdoors and wilderness, especially for girls interested in environmental and wildlife conservation. With a ton of different trips to try in this ultimate adventure program, there’s something amazing for everyone to experience like Land of Enchantment in New Mexico, Mountain Biking in the Ozarks and more!

“I have informed my friends of my research and we aim to keep tabs on the wolves together, especially the Mollie Pack. I am very grateful to have been chosen for this trip, and it is hopefully something I will never forget.”
