Today’s Tips 11.10.25

Try Your Luck at the Turkey Pluck

Come to the Triad or Asheville Girl Scout Shops during operating hours during the month of November to pluck a feather from the turkey and get a discount on one item! This is a great time to use last year’s Cookie Dough before it expires on December 12. Please note we will be closed November 26-28 for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Fall Product Program Next Steps

TODAY is the last day to accept orders for the Fall Product Program! Girl Scouts have done an amazing job learning business skills, earning rewards and kick-starting troop funds for the Girl Scout adventures ahead!

This year’s theme is Brave. Fierce. Fun! Our mascot, Cinnamon, has some final steps as we wrap up our Fall Product Program fun:

  • It’s time to make your deliveries! Check with your troop volunteer for location, date and time to pick up your candy/nut items for girl delivery.
  • Practice good people skills and be sure to thank your customers during deliveries. Did you reach a goal, learn a new skill or are you looking forward to a specific Girl Scout adventure with your proceeds? Customers love to know how their purchase supports you!
  • Make sure you select your recognitions in the M2 system by November 14! Ensure your correct mailing address is reflected in the M2 system.

Gourd Gala and Model Horse Artist Registrations Close Next Week

All ages are invited to No Horse? No Problem! Model Horse Artist on Saturday, November 22 in Sophia, NC. Tour the Circle C Classic Model Horse Show in the Keyauwee Program Center dining hall to see beautifully crafted model horses and learn about the artistry behind them. Then, you’ll paint and customize a model horse of your own before taking it upstairs to be judged in a special class at the model show.

We also have an artistic workshop happening on Saturday, November 22 in Brevard, NC. Girl Scouts of all ages are invited to Gourd Gala and explore their creativity with four unique gourd projects-each using a different decorating technique. From painting to crafting, this hands-on workshop is full of autumn fun and artistic discovery.

Cookie Expo and Cookie University

This year, we’re bringing our annual high-energy cookie rally to Black Mountain on Saturday, December 6! New adventures unfold and the fun continues with an optional overnight option.

Cookie Expo will prepare younger Girl Scouts for a successful cookie season by building essential skills in Goal Setting, Decision Making, Money Management, People Skills and Business Ethics-all while having fun! Girls will take part in hands-on stations, exciting games and engaging challenges that boost confidence, teamwork and sales strategies. Don’t miss this chance to kick off cookie season with enthusiasm, learning and plenty of Girl Scout spirit!

Meanwhile, older Girl Scouts are invited to step into a world of fun and learning at our Cookie University: The Game of Life. Get a taste of what it’s like to run a successful business! Imagine a life-sized game board where girls become entrepreneurs for a day, making real-world decisions that sharpen their leadership and financial skills. As they move through each station, they’ll take on exciting roles like CEO, Marketing Expert and Sales Superstar, experiencing everything from setting goals and managing finances to developing customer relationships.

New Cookie Hoodie

A huge congratulations to Tiffany, a Girl Scout Cadette from Troop 10182, for winning this year’s Cookie Hoodie Design Contest!

Pre-order your cookie hoodie by Sunday, November 30! All orders are available for delivery or pick-up in mid-December.

Help Us Winterize Camp

Help us winterize Keyauwee Program Center on Saturday, December 6! We will have jobs available for all ages, but please RSVP and let us know you are coming so we know what type of projects we can prepare.

Experience Disney On Ice

Feel the excitement in an enchanted celebration close to home, only at Disney On Ice! Girl Scouts can enjoy discounted group tickets for performances happening this December in Greensboro.

Native American Heritage Month

November is Native American Heritage Month! You can celebrate by recognizing with your family and friends the histories, cultures and contributions of the Native American communities that were the first inhabitants in the United States. Take this opportunity to learn more about the cultures of the Indian Nations in your state and across the country. We’ve got plenty of activities to choose from, so you can make new discoveries and have tons of fun while earning your Native American Heritage Month Patch.

Patch of the Month: Future Designer

Discover the world of design with our new Future Designer patch program! This fun, hands-on program introduces Girl Scouts to architecture, interior and graphic design, urban planning, engineering and related careers.

Adult Volunteer Resources & Trainings

Did you earn a Fall Product T-shirt as a volunteer? Troop volunteers (two per troop) who created their avatar, participated in the parent/guardian e-mail campaign and, if the troop ends the program with at least $1,000 in sales, earn a troop T-shirt! Volunteers whose troop meets requirements must submit volunteer shirt sizes by November 12 or the troop volunteers forfeit this reward.

All girl reward selections are due on Friday, November 14. For more information on navigating rewards in the M2 system, please watch our video tutorial.

Please also note that at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, November 14, there will be an ACH withdrawl for the amount due to the council. On Friday, November 21 there will be an ACH credit to troops for amounts overpaid to the council.
