Closing Next Week

Our Girl Scout Shops and Service Centers will be closed November 26-28 for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Save On Girl Scout Gear!
Come to the Triad or Asheville Girl Scout Shops during operating hours during the month of November to pluck a feather from the turkey and get a discount on one item! This is a great time to use last year’s Cookie Dough before it expires on December 12.

Can’t make it to Greensboro or Asheville? Join us at the Hickory Service Center for a special Clearance Blow Out Pop Up Shop event on December 7 or redeem your Cookie Dough by making shop purchases online through the GSCP2P Shop Order Form!
Cookie Expo and Cookie University Registrations Close Next Week

This year, we’re bringing our annual high-energy cookie rally to Black Mountain on Saturday, December 6! New adventures unfold and the fun continues with an optional overnight option.
Cookie Expo will prepare younger Girl Scouts for a successful cookie season by building essential skills in Goal Setting, Decision Making, Money Management, People Skills and Business Ethics-all while having fun! Girls will take part in hands-on stations, exciting games and engaging challenges that boost confidence, teamwork and sales strategies. Don’t miss this chance to kick off cookie season with enthusiasm, learning and plenty of Girl Scout spirit!
Meanwhile, older Girl Scouts are invited to step into a world of fun and learning at our Cookie University: The Game of Life. Get a taste of what it’s like to run a successful business! Imagine a life-sized game board where girls become entrepreneurs for a day, making real-world decisions that sharpen their leadership and financial skills. As they move through each station, they’ll take on exciting roles like CEO, Marketing Expert and Sales Superstar, experiencing everything from setting goals and managing finances to developing customer relationships.

Cyber Monday Special
Stay tuned next week as we unveil our newest camp T-shirt and Cyber Monday Special! Pre-orders will become available on Cyber Monday, December 1 and all purchases will receive a $25 discount code to use toward GSCP2P Summer Camp registrations.
Help Us Winterize Camp
Help us winterize Keyauwee Program Center on Saturday, December 6! We will have jobs available for all ages, but please RSVP and let us know you are coming so we know what type of projects we can prepare.

Discover Candlefest

On Saturday, December 6 you can stroll through The Greensboro Arboretum by the light of 4,000 luminaries set up by Girl Scouts. The night will include a visit with Santa and music throughout the garden. Hot chocolate and s’mores are available for purchase.
Admission is free with the donation of a non-perishable food item supporting Greensboro Urban Ministry. No registration is needed, but please sign-up if you would like to volunteer at Candlefest.
Native American Heritage Month
November is Native American Heritage Month! You can celebrate by recognizing with your family and friends the histories, cultures and contributions of the Native American communities that were the first inhabitants in the United States. Take this opportunity to learn more about the cultures of the Indian Nations in your state and across the country. We’ve got plenty of activities to choose from, so you can make new discoveries and have tons of fun while earning your Native American Heritage Month Patch.

Patch of the Month: Future Designer

Discover the world of design with our new Future Designer patch program! This fun, hands-on program introduces Girl Scouts to architecture, interior and graphic design, urban planning, engineering and related careers.
Adult Volunteer Resources & Trainings
As we head into a season of thanks, now is a great time to recognize an adult volunteer! Our network of supportive adults help to drive the Girl Scout Movement forward. Through awards and recognitions, we aim to provide a fulfilling volunteer experience as well as opportunities to thank others.
Our Adult Awards booklet includes Service Unit and National Award descriptions, nomination form links and information on how to write a powerful letter of recommendation- everything you need to nominate a deserving volunteer is right here!

Remember the deadline for National Award nominations is February 1, and these awards will be presented at Annual Meeting in April.
