MADD About You

Safety is at the forefront of everything we do at Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont, and we know that physical and emotional safety are critical for today’s girls. That is why we invite Girl Scout Juniors-Ambassadors and adults to join GSCP2P and Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) for powerful workshops in Hickory on Saturday, March 21.
Age-appropriate discussions on the importance of saying no to alcohol and drugs can support Girl Scout safety now and in the future. During the adult workshop, we will be hosting Rise Up: A Mental Wellness Patch Program where girls will earn a Mental Wellness patch by exploring activities to help them understand their emotions, build resilience and discover healthy ways to handle stress.
With prom season around the corner, these discussions are increasingly important and our goal is to help families build strong communication, set clear expectations and support healthy, safe decision-making.
Girl Board Member Applications Extended
Service as a Girl Representative to the Council Board of Directors offers girls in 10th or 11th grade the opportunity to learn leadership and real-world skills needed to work in a business atmosphere. During a Girl Representative’s one-year term, beginning at the Annual Meeting, she will learn about the inner workings of Girl Scouts, how the board influences and supports the council and the girls, group dynamics, planning skills and financial accountability. Applications to become a Girl Board Member are open until March 1, 2026.
Thank you to Gayasha Abeykoon and Kaveesha Abeykoon for serving as our 2025-2026 Girl Board Members!

All members are invited to join us at Annual Meeting on Saturday, April 25 as we gather in Thomasville to “Make New Friends while Keeping the Old,” welcome our new Girl Board Members and recognize the amazing accomplishments of our volunteers. Our day of celebration will include lunch, guest speakers and a business meeting with important council updates.
New Cookie Program Rewards for Your Entire Troop to Enjoy
Our new CEO, Elaine Loyack, is ready to party with your troop! The top two troops with the highest increase in direct ship orders between now and March 15 will get to schedule an exclusive sleepover party at the GSCP2P Service Center of their choice-complete with a movie, snacks, pizza and activity.
Don’t forget about the new troop financial bonus that was announced with the Girl Scout Cookie Program extension! Additional funds per package can really add up.

Here’s how your troop can earn extra proceeds:
Please note that a troop must have at least two girls participating in the cookie program to earn these additional proceeds.
- Additional $0.10 per package sold: Troops that increase their PGA (Per Girl Average) selling by at least 50 packages and sell at least one more package than in 2025 will receive an additional $0.10 per package regardless of what incentive plan they have chosen.
- Additional $0.20 per package sold: Troops that increase their PGA (Per Girl Average) selling by at least 100 packages and sell at least one more package than in 2025 will receive an additional $0.20 per package regardless of what incentive plan they have chosen.
- New troops or troops that did not participate in 2025: Your bonus will be based on overall PGA relative to the council goal of 303 packages.
- 353 packages per girl selling = $0.10 per package additional proceeds
- 403 packages per girl selling = $0.20 per package additional proceeds
Bandit’s Tips For Cookie Program Fun
The Girl Scout Cookie Program is in full swing, and we’re excited for you to learn entrepreneurial skills, have fun raising funds for your next adventure and earn financial literacy badges.

Bandit’s Tip:
Staying motivated can be tricky, so I have some tips to help energize you through the remainder of the program:
Acknowledge your successes! Beyond rewards, did you learn a new skill? What are some tactics you used that worked well so far?
Build routines! Create consistent habits that make progress automatic, rather than relying solely on fleeting feelings of motivation.
Focus on the why! From fun times manning your booth with Girl Scout friends to planning adventures funded by your earnings, there are many reasons to participate in the Girl Scout Cookie Program.
Practice self-care! Wear weather-appropriate clothes at booths and leverage digital payments to reduce the stress of managing physical money. Your troop can also secure a booth at one of our participating Wendy’s locations- all girls working the booth can enjoy a free small Frosty! Just remember a few rules for these locations: girls should not promote photographs of them with the Thin Mints Frosty, encourage booth customers to purchase a Frosty or wear clothing/accessories that feature the Frosty while in uniform or working at a booth.
Board Forums
Your voice matters and can influence the future of our council! We are hosting Board Forums at each service center throughout February and March and look forward to seeing you in-person or virtually for these informational and governance meetings with the GSCP2P Board of Directors.

Summer Camp Q+A Sessions

Summer camp registrations are open and we are excited to Explore More Camp! View our 2026 Summer Camp Program Guide to discover all the fun we have planned. We are also hosting several virtual Summer Camp Q&A sessions in March to help you feel excited and prepared for camp!
Only a $50 deposit is needed to hold your spot and gain access to additional financial and transportation assistance applications. And, for a limited time, you can stack up $150 in summer camp savings! Take advantage of our early bird discount to save $50 on each overnight session by March 31. When you register your camper for two sessions, you will also receive a $50 multi-week discount.
Convention Bound
This summer is the 58th National Council Session and Girl Scouts Unite event in Washington, D.C.! The Girl Scout National Convention occurs every three years and is a stellar opportunity to see girl-led governance in action, connect with Girl Scouts from all over, hear from inspiring speakers, learn leadership skills through interactive workshops and discover unique adventures.
While we will be represented by GSCP2P National Delegates, GSCP2P is not organizing a trip to Washington, D.C. Girl Scouts, volunteers, alums and families are all invited to attend, and group travel plans can be coordinated within your troop or service unit. You can also connect with members in our council on Rallyhood! Our council has booked several rooms and is able to offer discounted lodging to our members traveling for the convention. Learn more and complete our National Convention Lodging Interest Form to reserve your rooms.

Grow with KidSenses
On Saturday, March 14, Girl Scouts can discover Fantastic Plants at KidSenses in Rutherfordton! Explore the power of nature by participating in plant dissections and terrarium creation!

More discoveries await! Use our Community Partner Directory to schedule unique experiences for your troop.
Patch of the Month: World Thinking Day

Did you know February 22 will mark 100 years of World Thinking Day? Dive into this year’s theme of “Our Friendship,” celebrate our international sisterhood and stand up for causes that can improve girls’ lives around the world while earning the World Thinking Day award!
Adult Volunteer Resources & Trainings
Our council launched Rallyhood at the beginning of the Girl Scout year. This one-stop communication and collaboration tool is free for GSCP2P Girl Scout adults and volunteers. Connect with your troop, service unit and even the entire council when you join certain rallies.
There are many Rallyhood topics that you can join- from age-level tips, highest awards, product programs and so much more! In addition to your troop and service unit rallies, you can join as many rallies as you like. To manage the amount of e-mail notifications you receive from Rallyhood, please:
- Log into your Rallyhood
- Select My Settings
- Click the dropdown for Notifications
- Unclick the areas you do NOT want notifications from
- Click SAVE at the bottom
- THEN remember to log into your rallies so you won’t miss the wonderful updates, comments, events and more!

We are excited to announce Stripe payment processing features for troop and service unit rallies can now be requested. Once installed, you will be able to use Rallyhood to collect payments for dues and events- even for people who do not have a Rallyhood account. Troop leaders or Service Unit Specialists who are interested in accepting payments should complete the Rallyhood Stripe Request Form. Requests will be filled in the order they are received.
