Putting on the Ritz

Dress up and join us for Her Future, Her Impact: Girl Awards Gala on Saturday, May 16 at Heritage Farm in Dobson. We are celebrating the 2026 class of Highest Award Girl Scouts with an elegant evening featuring dinner, an inspiring guest speaker and a firsthand look at how Girl Scouts are shaping their communities with courage, confidence and character.

All honorees should have received an e-mailed invitation, but everyone is welcome to attend and celebrate these prestigious accomplishments. This is a formal ceremony and preferred dress is either a Girl Scout uniform (white top, khaki bottoms, vest or sash) or gala attire (such as floor-length or cocktail-length formal wear).
Did you know that earning the Gold Award can set you up for success in school, careers and beyond? The GSUSA Gold Award Scholarship is officially open and accepting applications through April 14. Eligible Girl Scouts can apply for a $5,000 scholarship to support their educational goals.
Cookie Drawings
We are hosting our Buy5 drawing this week and four lucky customers will win a year’s supply of Girl Scout Cookies! Make sure any paper entries you have collected are turned into your nearest Service Center or submitted digitally by tomorrow at 5 p.m.
Congratulations to Coraline from Troop 10251 for being selected in our Out of the Ordinary drawing. Coraline designed her own door hangers, posted them around her neighborhood and scored an extra 50-package credit for her idea!

Curiosity Quest Registration Closes Next Week

We are excited for P2P Curiosity Quest in Winston-Salem on Saturday, April 11. All ages are invited to join us for activities like building mini aquaponics systems, creating simple electrical circuits, designing a green city, exploring horse genetics, investigating stream health by studying aquatic insects, learning about composting and food waste solutions and discovering dog safety and training!
The event will also feature a special guest speaker, Dr. Mary Lynne Dittmar, who has helped design homes such as the International Space Station (which has been in orbit for more than 25 years above the Earth) and advises NASA on the next steps for humanity in space.
Museum admission is included, so you can continue exploring Kaleideum Children’s Museum after the event! Girl Scout membership is not required, but will be available on-site. This is a great opportunity to invite your friends to discover what Girl Scouting is all about!
Make New Friends at Annual Meeting
Join us in Thomasville on Saturday, April 25 for the Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont Annual Meeting as we welcome our council’s new CEO and honor the dedication and impact of our volunteers, members and supporters.

This is an opportunity to network, receive important news, participate in voting on key council business and commemorate volunteers during our Adult Awards Ceremony. More than just an event, it’s a chance to “make new friends while keeping the old” as we unite to celebrate the Girl Scout Movement in our 40-county footprint. Light breakfast and lunch are included.

We are excited to Explore More Camp! View our 2026 Summer Camp Program Guide to discover all the fun we have planned for overnight campers at Keyauwee Program Center and for day campers joining us in Black Mountain, Greensboro, Hickory and Winston-Salem.
For a limited time, you can stack up $150 or more in summer camp savings! Take advantage of our early bird discount to save $50 on each overnight session by March 31. When you register your camper for two sessions, you will also receive a $50 multi-week discount. To apply Cookie Dough, Daisy Dollars or Nut Buck credits to your summer camp registration fees, please contact info@girlscoutsp2p.org.
We want every Girl Scout to be able to attend camp regardless of their financial situation. Once you register for a program and pay a $50 non-refundable deposit, you will have access to our online financial aid application. Receiving financial aid is confidential. Our camp staff do not know who receives financial assistance. Last year, campers who applied for financial assistance received an average of $280 to use on registration fees.
Session Spotlight:
Unleash your inner performer and get ready to shine! Lights, Camera, Camp! week will be packed with all things dramatic, giving campers endless opportunities to sing, dance, act and express their creativity across camp. During the week, campers can choose their favorite areas to explore — from art classes where they can design props and costumes, to theater sessions filled with improv and character work, to classic camp adventures like climbing, archery, horses, boating and more. There’s something exciting for every type of star!

We’ll kick things off with an opening campfire, complete with songs, skits and laughter, and have delicious campfire treats throughout the week. The excitement builds toward our all-camp talent show, where campers and staff step into the spotlight to share their creativity, confidence and unique abilities. Theme Thursday means dressing as your favorite character and seeing what camp life is like for them!
