#TroopTuesday: Girl Scout Robotics Team Competes

The Gastonia Girl Scout Robotics Team known as the “Blue Angles” competed in the FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL®) Tournament at Cannon School in Concord, NC. These girls worked hard to prepare for this tournament, learned a lot and proudly represented Girl Scouts! Great job on representing girls in STEM as well as using your creativity and problem-solving skills!

FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL®) is an exciting and fun global robotics program that ignites an enthusiasm for discovery of Science, Technology,  Engineering, and Math (STEM) in children ages 9 to 16 (9 to 14 in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico). For roughly 8 to 10 fast-paced weeks, teams work as a group to overcome obstacles and meet challenges. Teams work to find creative solutions to current, real-world issues. They also must design, build, and program a robot using LEGO MINDSTORMS®, then compete on a table-top playing field.
