Riding Instructor in Training Receives Academic Scholarship

Madeline Duvall, one of our Riding Instructors in Training (RIIT) at Circle C Equestrian Center was recently awarded a $1,000 academic scholarship from Equus, which will go toward her undergraduate studies. Duvall received the scholarship in appreciation for her volunteer service on behalf of horse welfare.

Cathy Thacker, Outdoor Experience Specialist at Circle C, is always encouraging the RITT’s to enter their volunteer hours with Equus, but this is the first time any of them have received fiscal support toward their education. It is a great testament to Duvall’s hard work, good attitude and dedication at the barn, as well as Thacker’s efforts to support and grow the RIIT experiences so they have a strong foundation to take with them into their future careers.
