Girl Scout 13084 of Statesville collected over six shopping carts full of donations. They also visited Statesville’s Goodwill Retail Store to learn about Goodwill’s mission to help people and communities. They weren’t the only ones who used this project as an opportunity to see how Goodwill operates. Girl Scout Troop 13282 of Forest City, Girl Scout Troop 1833 of Burnsville and Girl Scout Troop 40004 also toured their local Goodwill.

Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont (GSCP2P), is one of the 111 councils from across the nation that delivers the Girl Scout program, serves nearly 12,000 girls in central and western North Carolina. With the support and guidance of nearly 6,000 volunteers, girls in grades K-12 are given opportunities for fun and friendship, while fostering the development of leadership skills and self-esteem.
