Congratulations to Katie Patterson, Krista Morrison, Taylor Pike and Acacia Phillips from Girl Scout Troop 2744 of Surry County for earning their Girl Scout Bronze Award! They worked with Millennium Charter Academy and Franklin Elementary to add trash cans and recycling bins to the playgrounds and fields at the schools. They gathered supplies and helped make the bins to reduce litter in their area. The girls did a wonderful job finding a solution to a problem they saw in their community.
(Note: Group photos were taken before social distancing went into effect.)
