Congratulations to Ava Grace, Noell Ivy Alfaro, Regan Morris, Riley Grace Schutt and Taryn Wilson from Girl Scout Troop 10441 of Catawba County for earning their Girl Scout Silver Award in January of 2020! They worked with the Family Guidance Center to remodel The Purple Ribbon, a non-profit thrift store that funds the operations of the Catawba County Battered Women’s Shelter. They painted the walls, remodeled the window displays, built furniture pieces for the store and painted a mural in the dressing room. Their hard work means The Purple Ribbon can continue to stay open and busy providing support to their community.
