Congratulations to Alissa Ann Drumgold and Tayloir Elise Wiley from Girl Scout Troop 41353 of Alamance County for earning their Girl Scout Silver Award! They worked with Guilford Health Care Center to help patients going through physical and rehabilitative therapy. Previously earning their Girl Scout Bronze Award helped the girls feel ready for the planning, communication and leadership challenges presented by the project. They worked with the facility’s administration to identify a space in their courtyard for perennial plants and flowers that will continuously bloom throughout the year. The planter is waist-high to accommodate wheelchair-bound residents. They also refreshed a pre-existing planter with new bulbs and plants for the residents to enjoy viewing, touching and smelling for years to come!
