#TroopTuesday Silver Award: Garden Park & Seating at Library

Congratulations to Eli-za White from Girl Scout Troop 2286 of Cleveland County for earning her Girl Scout Silver Award! She worked with York County Library and Friends of the Library to turn an empty plot at the library into a beautiful garden in early 2020. Her experience earning her Girl Scout Bronze Award in 2017 helped her feel prepared for the project. Despite one of the trees from her garden being stolen twice, she worked hard to make a serene outdoor reading area. Her patience and persistence was worth it, and she completed the garden with donated benches, a bird feeder, a painted rock and a raised flower bed. She planted bulbs, perennials and a Japanese Maple (three times) to ensure the garden will remain verdant for years to come.
