Congratulations to Adriana Venegas, Lily Sperry and Danielle Symenski from Girl Scout Troop 13217 of Alamance County for earning their Girl Scout Bronze Award! The girls worked with First United Methodist Church Graham and DoTerra Gibsonville to donate menstrual hygiene products to an orphanage in Tanzania. Many girls all over the world miss days of school every month when they get their menstrual cycle because they don’t have access to proper hygiene products. The girls made bags and reusable pads and collected items for kits to donate. Each kit contained two pairs of underwear, one washcloth, one bar soap, two cotton shields and eight liners. Having these kits will allow more girls in Tanzania to get the education they deserve.
