Congratulations to Ali and Meredith From Troop 2040 of Guilford County on earning their Girl Scout Silver Award earlier this year! For their project “Fairies and Food,” Ali and Meredith worked closely with the Kids Path Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro to update a part of their outdoor space that was in desperate need of repair, and also to provide meals to the families of children in care at the organization. The girls spent most of their time working on the fairy garden, constructing, designing and completing the space on their own! Though they struggled with communication, finding time to make their project happen and working around specific guidelines and other roadblocks, Ali and Meredith were able to finish a beautiful fairy garden for the patients and provided several freezable and easy-to-prepare meals for families, as well as learned valuable leadership and professional skills along the way!
