| Cookie Program Starts Tomorrow! To assist girls in reaching their sales goals, our order-taking period is starting earlier this year as compared to last year. So December 15 is the official start of our 2021 Girl Scout Cookie Program! Here’s something new for this year: Orders for girl-delivery can be taken in Smart Cookies via a girl’s social media link and orders can be prepaid by credit card. To take advantage of this opportunity, girls should select to opt-in to this component when setting up their Smart Cookies account. If your account has already been set up, you can opt-in or opt-out at any time by changing your preferences under My Profile. For girls who opt-in to this option, here are a few helpful suggestions: Social media can go viral! Once shared, the content can be viewed by anyone, anywhere. This is a great opportunity to expand your business plan. If girls/parents elect to receive girl-delivery orders via the social media link (by clicking yes to the opt-in question in the girl profile in Smart Cookies), we suggest the following statement be made with each post on social media when sharing the girl’s personal URL: Orders for girl-delivery will only be approved within XX miles of [city]- orders beyond the XX mile radius cannot be delivered! If you place an order for girl-delivery that is not within XX miles of [city] and the donation box is checked to donate your order to our council’s cookie share program when the order is placed, your order will be donated to our council’s service project, Operation Sweet Treat. Operation Sweet Treat delivers cookies to our U.S. military members. The direct ship option is available for orders beyond XX miles of [city]. Thank you for supporting [Girl Scout name] and Girl Scout Troop [XXX]!
