Congratulations to Amaya Matthews and Kori Lee of Girl Scout Troop 40085 in Guilford County for successfully completing their Girl Scout Silver Award! The girls thought of their idea when they noticed there was no shelving to place their books and other items on while while using the school restrooms. The girls got right to work and found a reusable bookshelf to be used as cubbies. They sanded and spray painted the shelving to match the colors of the school. Both Kori and Amaya demonstrated their leadership skills by taking the initiative to solve a common problem and think of a new way for students to keep their belongings safe and clean while in the restroom. Way to go girls!
