Congratulations to Sophia from Girl Scout Troop 30583 in Henderson County for completing their Girl Scout Silver Award this past year! Sophia started her project by researching different pollinator plants and different species of pollinators. She worked with an expert to help pick certain plants that would do well and graciously donated them to her project. She continuously cared and repotted the plants and also teamed up with the Horticulture teacher at BRCC. The professor and his students helped Sophia on the final day of planting. As finishing touches, Sophia gathered river rocks and painted them as markers for the site. She also used her leadership skills to guide the students at BRCC, so they can appropriately maintain and upkeep the garden. You go, Girl!
