Today’s Tips 2.7.22

Celebrate 110 Years of Girl Scouting with Us!
On Saturday, March 12, we are going to be hosting Birthday Bashes at all three of our camp properties. It’s going to be a great day to come out and spend time with other Girl Scout families and troops. You can even plan to pack a lunch and enjoy the beautiful outdoors even more. Watch the video below to get excited! All registration information for the three events can be found here.

Cookie Update
Girl Scout Cookies are currently produced by two licensed bakeries, Little Brownie Bakers and ABC Bakers, one of which has reported production delays for some varieties (Little Brownie Bakers). Our council uses ABC Bakers and, to date, our restock orders have been arriving within the delivery window provided by ABC Bakers. Our Girl Scouts are excited to be in their communities selling our full line up of cookies, and we are grateful as customers continue to support girls’ entrepreneurship and help fund local troop activities by picking up some of their old favorites or trying something new this year.

Should we be notified our baker is having similar production delays or shipping issues, we will immediately notify our troop cookie volunteers so they can plan accordingly.

Girls of Faith Event- Registration Deadline Extended
The registration deadline for our Girls of Faith event, happening Saturday, March 5 and open to Girl Scout Juniors and older, has been extended until this Friday, February 11. Registration information can be found here

North Carolina Page Program
Every year, Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors can serve as pages for the government offices in Raleigh. This year’s Page Program will run the week of March 7-11. Girls who are interested in applying should click here– the registration deadline is February 18.

Applications for Campership Volunteer Committee

Camperships are for Camp Pisgah, Camp Ginger Cascades and Keyauwee Program Center.

The time requirement as a member of this committee will be approximately one hour per month, on a Zoom meeting, for four months starting in March.
