Asheville, Gastonia & Hickory Council Shops These three council shops are open normal business hours, Monday through Thursday, Noon- 5 p.m. and every 2nd and 4th Saturday, starting Saturday, September 3 through Saturday, November 12 from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. Triad Pick & Pack All Triad Service Center walk-ins will receive free shipping on Girl Scout Shop orders placed at the new service center (303 Pisgah Church Road, Suite C Greensboro). Pre-ordered pickups are available at the Triad Service Center or the Keyauwee Program Center Trading Post starting August 22. You can place your order here. Uniform Nights Uniform nights are a great way to outfit your troop and get ready for the next year. When you schedule a Uniform Night with us, the council shop will come to your troop meeting with a sample box of uniforms and insignia. You can do uniform fittings and place an order right on the spot! | Join Our Media Girls Team Our Media Girls Team is looking for new members for the 2022-23 year! Open to all girls across the council in grades K-12, the Media Girls Team helps with media interviews throughout the year, as well as participates in regular meetings and other special projects like social media campaigns, videos and blog posts. If you have a girl interested in becoming a member of the team, you can fill out the application here. All applications are due by Friday, September 9. | Save-the-Date for Girl Scouts Love State Parks Weekend The annual Girl Scouts Love State Parks Weekend is taking place Saturday and Sunday, September 10 and 11. Our local state parks will be hosting special events throughout the weekend including New River State Park, Hanging Rock State Park and South Mountains State Park. | Volunteer Opportunities: Camp Thanks-A-Lot There are two final Camp Thanks-A-Lot events happening on September 3 (Camp Ginger Cascades) and September 17 (Keyauwee Program Center). You can find all the open volunteer opportunities on the interest form. Events run from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m., but if you are only able to volunteer for part of the day, please let us know and we can make arrangements for you. |
