Meet Our Experience Team The Girl Scout experience is what makes girls and adults come back to our organization year after year. And we are excited to have a newly aligned Experience Team here at P2P to direct everything from Highest Awards and outdoors experiences to volunteer learning weekends and regular adult trainings. Important Update for the 2022-23 Girl Scout Year For our Girl Scouts to be resilient, ready and strong, they must be safe. To ensure the safety and security of our girls, GSCP2P will now require that all Girl Scout troop roles have a current adult membership and a cleared background check. This is updated from our previous policy that only members of the troop leadership team, the troop Banking Specialist and the troop Product Program Specialists had to have a membership and background check. Just a reminder that background checks are valid for three years and do not need to completed annually. This change will have the biggest impact on Troop Drivers. Anyone who will be driving the girls on behalf of the troop must have an active adult membership, a cleared background check and an annual updated Add Driver Form. If you do not currently hold a role in your girl’s troop, reach out to your troop leader to see how you can get involved. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us at info@girlscoutsp2p.org or call 800-672-2148. Thank you! ![]() Jennifer Wilcox CEO Troop & Service Unit Camping for Fall 2022 Since camping is such a big part of the Girl Scout experience, we wanted to let our members know that troop and service unit camping will remain open and available at all three camp properties throughout the fall of 2022. However, in order to onboard new staff and train current staff in the newly formed Experience department, we will not be offering any council-facilitated activities (archery, climbing wall, boating, troop horse programs, etc.) at our camp properties during the fall and winter season. Troops and service units will still be able to reserve activity areas as part of their unit reservation if they can provide their own certified facilitators for any activities they want to do. Outside facilitators must share their certification documentation with the council on or before the date of their reservation. We are so excited to roll out new program offerings and to make the camp reservation process smoother for our volunteers and members this troop year, and we appreciate your understanding as we lay this important foundation. Please reach out to our Customer Care team for more information, including available dates at camp and pricing, at 800-672-2148 or info@girlscoutsp2p.org.
