New Business Hours Begin January 3 Starting Tuesday, January 3, the new external hours of operation for our four service centers and shops (Asheville, Gastonia, Hickory and Triad) will be Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Staff will also continue to be available by appointment and our Customer Care Team will be available by phone and e-mail Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Check our online calendar for Saturday shop hours and Pop Up Shops. It’s also good to remember: 1. You can place orders for pickup or mail by calling 800-672-2148 or e-mail info@girlscoutsp2p.org. 2. You can shop with us 24/7 on our online shop. 3. At any time, if you need to meet with a staff member outside of these hours, they will be accessible by appointment. We are here to serve you! |
Let’s Get Ready for the Highest Awards! Beginning as Girl Scout Juniors, girls can earn three separate Highest Awards- the Girl Scout Gold, Silver and Bronze Award. Knowing the ins and outs of each award is important, and we have several resources and workshops to help you get started on the right path. Find more information below! Highest Awards FAQ & Brainstorming Session Trying to figure out if your idea fits into a Girl Scout Bronze, Silver or Gold Award project? Need some ideas? What if you hit a roadblock? What is sustainability or root cause? What’s the difference between a service project and a Girl Scout Bronze, Silver or Gold Award project? These questions and more will be answered during this forum. Girls in all stages of their Highest Awards are encouraged to bring their ideas and an open mind to this free session. Highest Awards Adult Chats Learn all about Girl Scouts Highest Awards and your role in guiding your girls through the process. We’ll go over all the elements of a Take Action project and how each level should incorporate them into their project. This session has been designed to allow parents/troop leaders to come together and have their questions answered. Gold Award Training Take a deep dive into the Gold Award process at a required Girl Scout Gold Award Training. This is the perfect place to really dig into your Gold Award! Each training is facilitated by a GSCP2P staff member and designed to provide a hands-on experience for girls “Going Gold.” We’ll take a look at steps 1-7 of the Gold Award process utilizing GoGold Online. We’ll help you understand what makes a Take Action project different from community service project. We’ll also talk about sustainability and tracking measurability- both critically important to Girl Scout Gold Award projects. This Gold Award training is the necessary first step for Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors preparing to go Gold and is required before your project can be approved. Silver Award Training During this training, learn how to identify a community need and how to address that need by sharing your skills and passions to help make the world a better place! This workshop is not required to achieve your Girl Scout Silver Award. However, it is very useful as it covers important topics, including the approval process, the steps to earn the award and submitting your final report. This workshop is for Girl Scout Cadettes, their parents/guardians and their leaders. Bronze Award Training Join us for a fun and interactive workshop where you will discover what is necessary to create an amazing Girl Scout Bronze Award Take Action project. Learn how to identify a community need and how to address that need by sharing your skills and passions to help make the world a better place! This workshop is not required to achieve your Girl Scout Bronze Award. However, it is very useful as it covers important topics like the steps to earn the award and submitting your final report. This workshop is for Girl Scout Juniors, their parents/guardians and their leaders. |
