Gastonia Service Center & Shop to Move Locations Greetings, GSCP2P Family! What an amazing time to be a Girl Scout – summer camp season launched last week, the cookie program is in full swing and troops are gearing up to celebrate World Thinking Day and Girl Scout Week in the coming months. As we continue to focus on how best to maximize utilization of our physical space, we have an update for you about our service center and shop in Gastonia. As with our other property updates, the Board, the Property and Camp Committee and the Leadership Team have worked with key community partners to explore the highest and best plan for office location and utilization. As our staff continue to work in a hybrid manner, which allows flexibility for work in our communities and in-office collaboration, we also know that girls and volunteers want to spend their time having Girl Scout fun in a space that is first and foremost GIRL-SERVING. So, we are excited to announce that our Gastonia Service Center and Shop will be relocating this spring to 3826 S. New Hope Road, Gastonia, NC 28056. The timeline and plan for next steps as we know at this time are as follows: GSCP2P will occupy 156 S. South Street in Gastonia until April 13, 2023.The new and old locations of the Gastonia Service Center and Shop will be closed April 17- May 12 to accommodate the move. Staff will work remotely during this time and are available to provide operations and retail support to volunteers and community partners. GSCP2P will move into our new space at 3826 S. New Hope Road on or after April 17, 2023. We will reopen our Gastonia Service Center and Shop on May 15, 2023. A community celebration will be held at the new location on Sunday, June 4. More information will be shared about times and activities soon.To celebrate our time at our current location and to provide an opportunity for girls and volunteers to capitalize on the move, we will be hosting a Gastonia Sidewalk Sale on Saturday, March 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please mark your calendar now to join us for amazing sales on Girl Scout merchandise. As always, please feel free to reach out with questions, concerns and suggestions. Thank you very much for your continued support of our girls! ![]() Jennifer L. Wilcox, CEO |
