| Highest Awards Deadline is March 15 Have you recently completed your Girl Scout Bronze, Silver or Gold Award? If you would like to be recognized at this year’s Highest Awards ceremonies, you must complete your project and submit all paperwork by March 15. GSUSA Girl Advisory Board Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) is currently seeking 10 new members to join their Girl Scout Advisory Board. This is an incredible opportunity for girls in grades 7-11 looking to take their leadership to the national level. Members of the Girl Scout Advisory Board of GSUSA will play a key role in contributing to key initiatives and influence decision-making processes at the national office, helping make a difference for today’s girls. Girl Scout Advisory Board members serve for up to two years or until their high school graduation, whichever comes first. Teen Outdoor Leadership Program- Deadline Extended  The application deadline for the Teen Outdoor Leadership Program (TOLP) has been extended to Friday, March 17. TOLP is an exciting new program that expands our existing Counselor in Training (CIT) program from a summer camp experience to a year-round leadership development program.In addition to the summer CIT program, TOLP will offer a Teen Outdoor Leadership Summit in the spring, a Teen Outdoor Leadership Conference in the fall and virtual monthly meetings to keep program members engaged and learning throughout the year! For more information about TOLP and to find the applications, please visit our blog. Fall Camporee Deadline is March 10 The deadline for Fall 2023 Camporee is coming up quickly! You can use the Fall 2023 Camporee Request Form to request a camp property, units and staff-facilitated activities. Don’t forget, you can also find our new Camporee Guide here (under the Troop & Service Unit Camping tab) to pick just the right property for you! Fall camporee requests must submitted by midnight on Friday, March 10. After March 10, we will review requests and confirm all camporee dates for Fall 2023 with the designated service unit representative by March 17. Once all camporee dates are finalized, troop camping will open for all other available dates and units through MyGS. All reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis. Gastonia Shop Sidewalk Sale We are preparing to move our Gastonia Service Center and are hosting a sidewalk sale this Saturday, March 11. The Gastonia Council Shop will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with tons of great discounts and items for sale! (This sale does not include core items like badges and uniforms.)An additional sidewalk sale going on at the same time will also include office furniture and other miscellaneous items. Come fill a bag with program items for just $5! Cash or card will be accepted.
