Join Us at Annual Meeting! Plans for our Annual Meeting are in full swing, and we hope you are planning to join us! The meeting will take place on Saturday, April 22 from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. at the WNC Agricultural Center- Virginia C. Boone Building in Fletcher, NC. Several events are also planned for the Friday before including tours of Camp Pisgah at Noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. (no reservations needed- just show up!), Fireside Chat with the CEO at Camp Pisgah and tours of the local Sierra Nevada Brewery. Details about these Friday events can be found here. Registration for Annual Meeting closes on Monday, March 27. All registered attendees will receive an Annual Meeting T-shirt and lunch that day. Girl Scout Gold Award Scholarship Opportunity  Attention Gold Award Girl Scouts! Now is your chance to receive a $10,000 scholarship and be recognized on a national level for your Gold Award project. Girl Scouts of the USA has announced that one girl from each council will receive a $10,000 scholarship. Eligible Girl Scouts include high school seniors and graduates who completed their Girl Scout Gold Award between April 1, 2022 and March 31, 2023, and currently have an approved Final Report on file and have been approved in the GoGold web app. Notification to all GSCP2P Gold Award Girl Scouts who qualify for this scholarship has gone out, and girls have until April 17, 2023 to complete the application. Summer Camp: Mini Sessions for Grades 1-3 Summer camp is a lot of fun and filled with adventure, but what if you are not quite ready to spend a whole week away from home? Then maybe a mini session is for you! Our camp mini sessions are the perfect introduction to the overnight camp experience and open to girls in grades 1-3 (during the 2023-24 school year). Programs run Sunday-Wednesday and provide a shortened, yet action-packed, experience filled with all the camp favorites. Themes for mini sessions change every week and correspond with badges girls will earn while they also spend time doing arts and crafts, swimming, campfires and more! You can find all our mini sessions being offered at both Camp Ginger Cascades and Keyauwee Program Center in the 2023 Camp Book. Upcoming Pop Up Shops The Triad Service Center will host several Pop Up Shops during the month of April- mark your calendars now! Did you know that you can also purchase uniforms, badges and more at the Triad Service Center every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.? Walk-ins are welcome or have your items ready for pickup when you use our shop order form. If you come to the Triad Service Center and we do not have a retail item in stock, we will order it and ship it to you for free!
