A Message From the CEO
Who’s ready for their “Year of Adventure” in the upcoming Girl Scout membership year? I can’t wait to see all the amazing things we’ll accomplish together throughout the year, starting off strong with our annual Fall Product Program.
Girl Scouts can kick off their year with this simple money-earning program that teaches valuable entrepreneurial skills and funds the Girl Scout fun. Sell items like candy, nuts, magazines and tumblers to raise start-up money to support troops’ community service projects, activity supplies, outdoor experiences and much more.
Fall is also the perfect time to be outdoors and enjoy the beautiful weather. Connect with nature and your fellow Girl Scouts at our annual Girl Scouts Love State Parks Weekend on September 14-15. If you love camping, register your troop by September 16 for the 2024 Council-wide Camp Out for a fun-filled weekend on September 27-29 of friendship, adventure and celebration at GSCP2P’s 15th birthday bash.
There are so many exciting things happening every month like our Service Center Open Houses, volunteer trainings, Camp Family Fun Days and more. Bookmark our event calendar so you can easily register for events, find more details and discover new activities for you and your girl. (And invite your non-Girl Scout friends to learn more about our program at an upcoming information event!)

2023 Nut Bucks Expire This Week
Nut Bucks earned from the 2023 Fall Products Program expire Thursday, September 12.
Every year, you can earn Nut Bucks when you participate in the Fall Product Program. These credits can be used on purchases at any of GSCP2P’s shops or camp trading posts, on the GSCP2P shop order form, for admission to council events, for summer camp fees and even used to help you travel through council-sponsored pathway trips like GSUSA-sponsored Destinations or GSUSA-sponsored getaways.
Help Us Recognize Volunteers by Voting
Congratulations to our Service Unit Specialists Tia Ramsey and Amanda Garcia on their nominations for Outstanding Woman in Nonprofit Leadership for the 2024 WomanUP Awards with the Asheville Chamber. Voting ends on September 12, so please help us recognize their leadership and accomplishments with your vote!
Adult Volunteer Resources & Trainings
Get ready for a year of adventure with your Girl Scout troop and earn the Outstanding Troop Award together! Troop leaders receive a printed Outstanding Troop Certificate and troops may request an Outstanding Troop Patch for each girl. Troops will be listed in the council’s Annual Meeting Program. Applications are accepted June 1 – September 30 for the current troop year.
Find more adult awards you can earn or take a moment to nominate a volunteer for a National Award.
Camporee requests for Spring 2025 are officially open! You can use the Spring 2025 Camporee Request Form to request a camp property and dates. Spring camporee requests must be received by 11:59 p.m. on October 25. After October 25, we will review requests and confirm all camporee dates with the designated service unit representative by November 8. Once all camporee dates are finalized, troop camping will open for all other available dates. Reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis. The deadline to register for Trainfest is this week! Join us for an adult learning weekend at Camp Pisgah October 4-6. Volunteers are invited to get certifications like First Aider or Camp License, enjoy workshops to discover more ways to engage your troop and to connect with other volunteers. Experience two days in Brevard, NC filled with educational classes, great food and fellowship with other adult volunteers. Leave our adult learning weekend feeling energized, connected and ready to lead your Girl Scouts to new heights in the coming year.
