Girl Advisory Board Applications Open

Want to meet other girls from your council? Do you have ideas about events or programs you would like to see our council offer? Then the Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont Girl Advisory Board (GAB) is for you!

The Girl Advisory Board (GAB) allows Girl Scout Cadettes through Ambassadors the opportunity to serve as an advisory team providing programmatic input to the Experience Team and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). By lending a voice to a movement that wants, needs and values girl-led contributions, these young leaders will play a significant role in shaping the ongoing work of GSCP2P. Applications are open now and will be accepted through July 1, 2026.

Plan Summer Fun With Your Troop in WNC

A huge thank you to the volunteers who helped us this spring as we prepared to open Camp Pisgah. We truly appreciate your support and are looking forward to serving Girl Scouts and our communities’ amazing outdoor experiences! Camp Pisgah is looking good and our Troop Camping Guide can help you plan before completing a reservation in CampLife. Please be aware that we are unable to do any council-facilitated activities at this present time but plan to offer these activities starting in September for our fall season.

Fall dates for troop camping will be launched mid-June for both Camp Pisgah and Keyauwee Program Center. Camp Ginger Cascades will remain closed as we assess maintenance needs and repair costs.

Is your troop wanting to focus on city attractions? In addition to camp lodging, we are excited to offer our new Experience Center space at the Asheville Service Center! Experience Centers can be reserved for free and provide a unique space for troop sleepovers, meetings or programs. Learn about amenities and local attractions near Asheville and make your reservation today! Heading east? Reserve the Triad Experience Center!

Summer Kickoffs Ahead

June is bringing summer fun in full force! Don’t miss out on our exciting opportunities for the whole family to embrace Girl Scout fun, friends and discovery over the summer months.

Tuesday Explorers is a virtual series kicking off in June. These unique meetings are open to all girls and Girl Scouts, so invite your friends to join you to experience what Girl Scout fun is all about!

Girl Scout Day at Wet ‘n Wild Emerald Pointe in Greensboro on Saturday, June 6 includes discounted park tickets and a special celebration to recognize Girl Scouts who sold over 500 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies this year.

Girl Scouts who have sold over 500 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies are distinguished as Girls Empowering Opportunity (G.E.O.). If you achieved GEO status, you should have received a coupon code for your free tickets via e-mail last week. These coupons must be applied to redeem this recognition. Coupon codes for GEOs are preloaded, so you should only have to apply the adult chaperone coupon code.

Keyauwee Program Center is hosting a Council-wide Bridging and Family Fun Day on Saturday, June 13 in Sophia. We’ll kick off the morning with a Council-wide Bridging Ceremony, honoring girls moving up to the next age level and taking the next step in their Girl Scout journey. It’s the perfect way to celebrate accomplishments, make new memories and welcome the next year of Girl Scouting together! After a provided lunch at the dining hall, families will be able to enjoy games and camp activities led by summer camp staff and girls from our Girl Advisory Board.

Register your whole troop for Council-wide Bridging and Family Fun Day and take advantage of our 10 for 10 discount!
Receive 10% off if you register 10 or more participants (can be a combination of youth and adults).

We’re partnering with various sports teams to host Girl Scout Nights this summer and we’re bringing a new patch program too! Find unique Girl Scout pre-game and post-game experiences on our calendar and download the new Game Changers patch program to keep the fun and exploration going.

Explore More Summer Camp

We are excited to Explore More Camp! View our 2026 Summer Camp Program Guide to discover all the fun we have planned for overnight campers at Keyauwee Program Center and for day campers joining us in Black Mountain, Greensboro, Hickory and Winston-Salem.

This year, all overnight campers will get to enjoy an equestrian experience at no additional cost! Not sure about a full week away from home? Try a mini session for a short, but action-packed, overnight camp experience.

To apply Cookie Dough, Daisy Dollars or Nut Buck credits to your summer camp registration fees, please contact info@girlscoutsp2p.org.

Financial assistance is still available!
We want every Girl Scout to be able to attend camp regardless of their financial situation. Once you register for a program and pay a $50 non-refundable deposit, you will have access to our online financial aid application. Receiving financial aid is confidential. Our camp staff do not know who receives financial assistance. Last year, campers who applied for financial assistance received an average of $280 to use on registration fees.

Session Spotlight:
Prepare to embark on a global adventure without ever leaving camp during Around the World! In addition to all your favorite camp activities, this week invites campers to choose their own way to explore both camp and culture. Campers can dive into specialized crafts inspired by global traditions, learn traditional dances from different regions and even participate in outdoor international cooking, trying out flavors and techniques from around the world. Throughout the week, campers will have countless opportunities to discover new passions, broaden their horizons and learn more about the diverse cultures that make our world so vibrant. Each activity encourages curiosity, creativity and connection as campers explore the world around them.

Midweek brings Theme Thursday: Around the World Edition, a day for campers to show off their travels or their dream destinations! Campers can wear t-shirts, hats, scarves or other fun accessories from places they’ve visited-or ones they’d love to explore. It’s a playful, creative way to celebrate global cultures while keeping the focus on fun, imagination and personal experiences. The highlight of the week is our vibrant International Fair, where campers can experience dishes, traditions, games and activities inspired by the home countries of our amazing summer staff. It’s a colorful celebration of global community, curiosity and connection-right here at camp!

GSCP2P Wants to Know Survey

As we look forward to another year, please take a moment to reflect on your recent Girl Scout experiences in our newest GSCP2P Wants to Know Survey. Your feedback helps our council grow stronger as we work together to provide unique and meaningful leadership experiences to girls in central and western North Carolina.

Explore History with America250

In 2026, the United States celebrates 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. This historic milestone, known as America250, honors the people, places and moments that shaped our nation. Girl Scouts of the USA is partnering with America250 to celebrate this anniversary with special opportunities for girls to explore history, community and leadership. Girl Scouts can take part in events and activities across North Carolina and beyond, and earn a commemorative five patch collection to mark this once in a lifetime celebration.

More discoveries await! Use our Community Partner Directory to schedule unique experiences for your troop.

Adult Volunteer Resources & Trainings

Each year, Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont needs to report our progress and success to our communities and membership. We are required to obtain data from troops and service units annually to maintain our 501c3 status. Completion of these reports helps us update your records and to better understand how we can best support you. Your help is greatly appreciated with this important task. Get started on your Troop Year End Report or Service Unit Year End Report and submit by July 1.
