Say Yes to the Vest
“Say Yes to the Vest” and get ready for the Girl Scout year ahead with a new uniform! Shop at the Asheville, Gastonia, Hickory and Triad service centers now through October 29 to enjoy a complimentary drawstring bag and patch with each full uniform purchase! Find our addresses and hours of operation.
We will also have special shop hours this Saturday, October 3! Come “Say Yes to the Vest” and welcome new friends at our S’more to Explore recruitment events. If you are interested in joining in the S’more to Explore activities, please RSVP so that we have enough materials for everyone! Shopping with friends is always more fun, so invite a friend to the event and pick out your new uniforms together!
The Girl Scout Shop is coming to Denver this week! Join us for a Mobile Uniform Shop on Tuesday, September 29 to “Say Yes to the Vest” and get your new uniform. If you would like the Girl Scout Shop to come to you, make a request using our GSCP2P Shop Form.
Registrations Closing This Week
Adults who completed their Basic Camping Skills License in 2021 or 2022 need to take a renewal course to keep their license up-to-date! Join us for a virtual Basic Camping Skills License Renewal training on Wednesday, October 7!
The Golden Spoon Society is our new club for Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors who are ready to explore the world one bite at a time! Join us virtually for our first meeting on Tuesday, October 6.
We had a blast at Camp Pisgah this weekend during Trailblazer Chefs: Outdoor Cooking and are excited to bring this experience to Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors at Keyauwee Program Center! Save your spot for our session happening on Saturday, October 3 this week or make plans to join us in December.
Hopper’s Fall Product Tips
The Fall Product Program is a great way for Girl Scouts to learn business skills while earning start up funds for the amazing Girl Scout year ahead. In addition to troop proceeds, Girl Scouts who participate can earn Nut Bucks and other reward items. Plus, troops who participate in the 2026 Fall Product Program and sell at least 100 items will receive an additional $0.05 per package of cookies sold during the upcoming Girl Scout Cookie Program.
It is time to create your avatar and online storefront, and our mascot, Hopper, has some tips for success:
- Practice the skill of goal setting! Is there a patch or reward you want to earn? Do you want to rack up some Nut Bucks to use at the GSCP2P Shops or to pay for a council-hosted event ticket (including summer camp fees)? Nut Bucks can even help fund your Girl Scout travels!
- Record your voice for your avatar or upload a personal video explaining what you would like to do with the money you are earning. When you explain your goals, you may find your customers are willing to make bigger purchases!
- Send out e-mails early and often! With your parent’s permission, you can even post on social media to allow maximum time for your customers to make a purchase. Remember, sending 20 e-mails through the M2 system is one of the requirements for earning a personalized avatar patch!
Try some math! If your goal is to earn the Girl Scout T-shirt, you need to reach $1,000 in sales. If each of your customers place a $25 order, how many customers would you need to reach your goal?
Gluten-free Cookie Troop Pre-orders
Troops that would like to guarantee Gluten-free Caramel Chocolate Chip Cookies (GFCCC) for the 2027 Girl Scout Cookie Program should submit their pre-order by October 20. Because these cookies are produced separately from our regular cookie lineup and baking capacity is limited, they are available to council on a preorder basis.
Only one pre-order per troop should be submitted. Pre-ordered cookies will be included with the troop’s initial cookie order. Council will order a limited number of additional cases, which will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Who Will Win the Council Cup?
Join us at Camp Pisgah October 23-25 for a Council-Wide Campout! We’re bringing together Girl Scout troops and families from across the council for an unforgettable weekend filled with magical activities, boating, archery and more. Participate in the Council Cup relay, dress up for the Great Hall Gala and dance under the stars. Exclusive patch, lodging and meals for Saturday and Sunday are all included with registration.
We’re making a troop camping experience easier than ever! Our staff will be running activities, so troop volunteers will not need to worry about having completed the First Aider Certification or Basic Camping Skills License by this event date. They will just need to complete the self-paced online Overnight & Activity License available in gsLearn to make this an amazing troop experience!

Cheer On the Greensboro Gargoyles
Get ready for a spooktacular hockey game with the Greensboro Gargoyles on Sunday, October 25! Girl Scouts are invited to celebrate Girl Scout Night with the Greensboro Gargoyles as the team takes on the Greenville Swamp Rabbits! Dress up in your favorite Halloween costume, cheer on the Gargoyles and enjoy an afternoon of hockey and fall fun during Pucks & Paws!
Each special Girl Scout Night ticket includes a discounted game ticket, food voucher and the opportunity to participate in a post-game Shot On Net. Bring your Girl Scout crew and make a day of cheering on the Gargoyles together!

Patch of the Month: Girl Scouts Love State Parks
Girl Scouts Love State Parks Weekend took place across the country during the second and third weekends in September when Girl Scouts, their families and friends explored local parks through self-guided tours, hikes and special events. Participants earn the official 2026 commemorative patch and checked off activities on the national outdoor passport sheet, but it’s not too late to earn your patch today.
