This Tuesday, we’re highlighting three troops that gave back to their community this winter. Girl Scout Junior Troop 12937 decided to use troop funds to make other’s holidays a little brighter. The girls purchased and donated gifts to give to children in their local foster care system.
Girl Scout Troop 2276 helped sort toys for Toys for Tots. The Cadettes and Seniors were so eager to help the organization live out their their mission by delivering toys and needed supplies to underprivileged children and their families.
Finally, Girl Scout Troop 2817 partnered with Union Cross Moravian Church to collect donations for Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes. They had a Christmas party where they sorted the donations by age and gender and then packed each box. They had enough donations for 39 boxes!
We’re so proud of all three of these troops using their holiday cheer to help others!
