COVID-19 Update for GSCP2P Troops and Service Units

Based on current state guidelines, here are the troop and Service Unit guidelines as of September 8, 2020:

·       Troops and service units can meet in groups of 25 people maximum inside and 50 people maximum outside. Please keep an attendance log for your own records at each event or meeting.

·       Social distancing and face covering guidelines MUST be strictly followed. All persons over the age of 5 must wear face coverings, both indoor and outdoor, where physical distancing of six feet from other people who are not members of the same household is not possible.

·       Service Unit meetings and Girl Scout trainings can be held if the above guidelines can be met. ​ Please keep an attendance log for your own records at each meeting or training. Virtual options will be held for those who prefer not to attend in person.

·       Individual family transportation is preferred ​for any troop or service unit meeting or activity. Carpooling MUST include masks at all times.

·       No buffets or shared food at any event or meeting.

·       Same guidelines apply to Community Partner programs. (No large group gatherings/programs.)

·       Overnights and troop travel will not be approved through September 11. If your troop has a large trip or activity planned this fall, complete the Troop Travel form and stay in touch with your Troop Experience Manager. Guidelines can change quickly, and we want to be able to approve troop program as soon as we can safely are able to.

If your troop has a large trip or activity planned this fall, complete the Troop Travel form and stay in touch with your Troop Experience Manager. Guidelines can change quickly, and we want to be able to approve troop program as soon as we can safely approve programs.

Girl Scout Shop Appointment and Curbside Shopping:

Please review the available shopping appointment slots here and sign up.

Monday– Closed to the public, no curbside pickup or appointment shopping.

Tuesday– Appointment shopping Noon – 5 p.m.

Wednesday– Curbside Pickup Noon – 5 p.m.

Thursday– Curbside Pickup Noon – 5 p.m.

2nd Saturday of the Month– Appointment Shopping 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

4th Saturday of the Month– Curbside Pickup 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Capacity Limit and Appointment Shopping Rules:

  • 1 adult/ 1 to 2 Girl Scouts (girl)
  • All customers need to wear a mask. If they don’t have a mask, one will be provided for them.
  • Curbside pickup and online shopping are available for those who can’t wear a mask.
  • All customers need to sign in on the daily contact log book.

Creating appointments:

Customers will need to use sign up genius to schedule shop appointments. Appointments need to be scheduled on the hour mark. This will allow 25-30 minutes cleaning time between appointment visits. The retail customer care specialist will contact the customer to confirm appointment and verify the shop location. If you are running late, you will need to reschedule for a later time and/or date if available.

Return or Exchanges:

Shop returns and exchanges will be accepted during appointment shopping.

  • Social distancing and face covering guidelines must be strictly followed. All persons over the age of 2 must wear face coverings when in public places, indoor or outdoor, where physical distancing of six feet from other people who are not members of the same household is not possible.
  • If troops are gathering, individual family transportation is preferred. Carpooling MUST include masks at all time.
  • No buffets or shared food.
  • Same guidelines apply to Community Partner programs. (No large group gatherings/programs.)

Appointments are available Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from Noon-5 p.m. and the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Our service centers remain closed until further notice as a cautionary measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

We are evaluating current health and safety regulations weekly and will update our message as soon as there is a change.

  • Troops and Service Units can meet in groups of 10 people maximum inside and 25 people outside. Social distancing and face covering guidelines MUST be strictly followed. If troops are gathering at a local park or church, individual family transportation is preferred. Carpooling MUST include masks at all time. No buffets or shared food. Same guidelines apply to Community Partner programs. (No large group gatherings/programs.)
  • Virtual Girl Scout program is still preferred. Refer to the council website for a full listing of provided programs, including badge and journey workshops, summer camp experiences, mailed Kamp Kits and more here: https://www.girlscoutsp2p.org/en/about-girl-scouts/our-program/VirtualGirlScouts.html
  • Overnights and troop travel will not be approved through July. If your troop has a large trip or activity planned in August, complete the Troop Travel form and stay in touch with your Troop Experience Manager.
